And I'll make the first post too 😛

The rig is on order from Monarch (still haven't shipped yet :|), but here she goes:

Opty 170 on XP-90 w/Panaflo
DFI LP UT nF4 Ultra-D
2x512MB Corsair XMS 3200C2 (only hit ~235MHz on my eVGA board 🙁)
Antec NeoPower 550HE
BFG 6800GT w/V1 Cooler
Seagate 400GB 7200.8

Here's hoping for 2.6GHz+ 😀
 
Cool, I think it's a good idea to have overclocking results consolidated to one thread. 🙂

I also have a 170 OEM on its way from Monarch (shipped today). Will be getting the ASRock motherboard (and doing the conductive pen voltmod) and probably an SI-120+fan as well. The rest of my components can be found in the rig link in my sig.

I too am hoping for 2.6GHz or higher. 😉
 
I created a thread here, about my experiences with an opteron 165 on my nForce 3 MSI K8N Neo2 plat.

Its easier to post the link to my thread, rather then to explain it again 🙂

EDIT: and i can do 2.8Ghz @ 1.62v with sufficient cooling .. thats a 1Ghz OC, and 2.7 on 1.52 volts 😀



 
I have a 148 that went right to 2.8 on default 1.4v... Couldn't get to 2.9 even with 1.6v..

I'm going to put together a new PCI-e system with better PSU, XP90 etc.. and see if I can't coax a little more..

Still like my X2 better, but this will make a good gamer for my son..

These things are selling for $207 at Monarch.. Heck of a deal if you compare to FX57... ( or 4000 for that matter ) ...
 
I have Opteron 165 Dual Core it is running at 2.6ghz, but like i said so many times i am having problem with my Motherboard compatibility.

Oh by the way it is running fine at 1.45V i will do some more testing and post my results.
 
we need people to post steppings for their processor, along side their OC, for instance mine is:

CCBWE 0534SPMW

which i believe most if not all 165's are at the moment
 
O/C as in the sig. Might be able to get a few more out of it, apparently had a bad connection on the IDE cables when I reconnected everything. SPMW like all the other 165s. Still, can't complain, it ain't like I paid for 2.8ghz.
 
No overclock yet - My CPU:

Looks like my CPU was made only a few weeks ago! Still getting my system up and running, will have results later.

I did last night, after I got an e-mail saying that it wouldn't ship until Dec.

I told them that I was going to cancel my order and re-order through another retailer, and my order had been shipped by 2 AM lol, 4 hours later.

Any recommendations on what I should start OCing with (Clock, Multi, Divider, etc)? Have an Infinity NF4-Ultra, 2x 1GB GEIL Value PC3200 have been out of the OCing loop for a while 😀

Thanks for the suggestion. I called and spoke to Michael (very helpful) and the reason for the delay is they have to fill back orders for other customers on my DFI mobo. He said it would probly ship tomorrow as they should get another shipment in and he would call me with the status. I asked about upgrading to overnight shipping and he said to e-mail Jeremy, so we'll see what Jeremy says. 🙂
