USC would be doing this to Oklahoma or LSU.

The announcer just acknowleged that too :D

Is that the same announcer who said the "Bush loses the ball, now it bounces back up to him," but he never even dropped it? That senile old fool? He WAS the best announcer, now he's just a sad doddering old fool like Dick Enberg. If they would definitely do it to LSU or OU, why couldn't they do it to a sh!tty team like Cal? and who cares that Cal beat VT? ANYONE who saw VT play knew they were overrated (also the reason that the "polls" shouldn't be the be all end all. they continually had a very mediocre VT team in the top 10). You think Jackson, who does almost only Pac-10 games, would have a little bias? especially since the Pac-10 pays part of his salary?

The Big 11 is once again so outclassed to be laughable. last year was the only year in recent memory that they even competed with the class of the rest of the conferences. Man, what a joke.

SC would beat LSU or the Sooners like a Red Headed Step Child. Neither team should be on the field with the Trojans!!! Man this just shows how much the Big Ten is overrated!!

i love how the ABC announcers (who should supposedly be pro-BCS) even acknowledge that you'd be crazy to not say SC is the best team in the nation.

give em a break.. this is college football. If you don't think your alma mater's team could have beat the '72 dolphins, then you are not a real fan.

Theres a difference between cheering and supporting, and talking flat out BS.

Go USC!!!

Normally I would wish to see SC lose every game...but not this time.

I went to UCLA, but I cheered for SC just coz I wanted to protest the absurdity of the BCS.

Oklahoma or LSU are both lucky they've been spared from getting torn a new one like Michigan did today!

what makes you guys think that LSU are UO are no better than Michigan??

LSU has been VERY VERY good all season long, they deserved a SHOT at the National Championship.

i thought i heard 1 of the commentators say Michigan has the #1 pass defense in NCAA, and they got pwndd , but we'll never find out i guess

i hope atleast the BCS gurus (ya rite) realize the absurdity of their system

Exactly, but the sad thing is that LSU and USC didn't have a chance to go at it to decide the champions, like it should have been done. They are the best two teams, everyone knows it, and they should have been playing for the title. The BCS sucks!!!

BTW, kudos to USC for showing everyone they are the champs.

OSU coulda handled them.

lol i dunno.

you cant say the big 10 is a weak conference. michigan never comes through in BIIIG time games (bowls). fiesta bowl will see if OSU is overrated which i doubt they are.

OSU??

Didn't they lose KEY big games like 5 years out of the last 6 every time they looked like they would get a shot at #1??

Okay, okay, I know when I'm out...but I think it's only fair to say in this situation, USC is quite deserving of the National Championship. And the above poster is right - Michigan rarely comes through in big games like this.

Michigan had given up 5 passing TDs all year, they gave up 4 (44%). They gave up 15 sacks all year, they gave up 9 (38%). They gave up an average of 167 passing yards per game, they gave up 346 (more then 2x). They've been doing that to teams all season long.

LSU's defense is definetly overrated and USC would have done it to them also.

Edit: And they graduate twice as many players as LSU and Oklahoma too ;)

many of those OSU losses were to UM. hehehe

i just find it ironic that you are bashing UM for losing big games and claiming that OSU would have done better.

if so, WHY weren't they there?? oh ya, they didn't win their big games.

no, they played a better team in the big games. however in the bigger games, osu does not falter, michigan always falters.

You know, I'm a diehard U of M fan, but I'll admit, USC looked FAR superior out there today. I really would have liked to see them play OU, that could have been a VERY good game. Their secondary is FAST, I couldn't get over that today. They shut down Perry too and harassed Navarre all night. They'd have given Jason White a hard time I bet.

As much as I hate to see UM lose this one, it's one more strike towards the BCS. I don't think it'll change for next year, but with any luck next year will prove (again) how flawed it is and they'll come up wtih something better.
