I picked up the first one with my PS3 way back when. I don't really like FPS, but I must admit, there was something about that game that was very fun. Somewhat unique, though I don't have much experience to compare.

Never played the 2nd one, though.
 
I really enjoyed R1 and R2, but...

WTF is with the cliffhanger ending? It's a cheap way to generate interest for your sequel. I really believe that each game should be self-contained, and not rely on sequels to finish the story (yeah, Valve, you too!).
 
yay! St. Louis. Almost everyday I walk past one of the buildings that was shown in one of the first released Concept Art pics.
 
I'm wondering how good this will be. I felt like 1 and 2 where been there, done that, kind of games. I hope this one is awesome.
 
I thought Resistance 2 was damn boring. The 3rd one looks good but it also looks like more of the same. I'll wait for you guys to dive into it first. 😀

agreed about Resistance.

Resistance 2 is probably my favorite single player FPS game to date. Multiplayer was pretty meh, but the coop was kinda cool for a little bit.

Day 1 purchase for me for sure.

Yeah coop was a alright once in a while but got old fast...MP was good, but fell short what R1 for me. I do however love the story mode, and played through R2 three times where I struggled to play through KZ2 levels a second time.

I picked up Resistance 2 over the weekend, and I am just bored with the story. I am already on the 4th act, but it just seems very generic to me. I am hoping it will pick up, but I actually turned it off to play some LittleBigPlanet 2 with my son.
 
ssssoooooo ... anyone playing this?

i redbox'ed is saturday night and didn't play it yesterday cause of football, but I got to chapter 6 on one sit down with it. really enjoying it so far. it is extremely intense at times, and the sheer size of some of the enemies is just breathtaking.

i'm hoping I can finish this by like thursday or so. really enjoying it so far though, although I forgot how bad the ps3 controller is for FPS lol.
 
I picked it up. Haven't played any of the campaign yet, but have played a few MP matches. Doesn't seem like it has the depth of some other shooters, but it is definitely fun and has a good feel to it. I'll be playing the campaign when I have more time to dedicate to the game.
 
i've never liked multiplayer in this game. everything about it feels off. the control isn't tight at all in this game really and it just has a very arcady feel to it.
 
I rented this game from Red Box to check out how I liked the MP before I bought it (never played R1/2) but they have that stupid online pass thing, so I am not even going to bother.

I should have checked before I rented it, but it was an impulse and I am only out $2. Oh well.

Played through campaign and it was alright.

Controls aren't tight? That's really weird...they seem just fine for me. Comparable to any other big FPS (Halo, CoD, etc.). But, yes, the game definitely has a more arcade style FPS feel to it. I find it fun, but I can't say everyone would like it.
 
the campaign is really awesome. i am about 1/2 done with it and hopefully will finish it by thursday so I can return it thursday. maybe I'll finish it wednesday but not sure.

it's really intense at moments with a ton of variety just like the 2nd one, and there are some pretty damn epic bosses even already. i love the scale of some of the bosses.
