I like quiznoz and all, but is anybodys sub actualy toasted? It looks like they flame the edges of the bread to get some blackening effect, but I don't think the bread actually goes into a real toaster (at least not for anything longer than 5 seconds).

All the local Quizno's here do actually toast their subs for around 10 seconds.

How do I know? After they cut your bread, put on the dressing, meat, veggies and sprinkle that aregano on it they leave the sub open, put it on a metal tray and load it onto the toaster right in front of you.

At least that's how they do it here in Portland, OR.

Having two roommates that work there, I can assure you that after they load the sub with meat, sauce, cheese, and some veggies (like onions), they load it into the oven and it spends 20-30 seconds getting toasted. Then they add the majority of veggies, wrap it, and serve it

I went to Quizno's on Sunday. It's a good sandwich, but it's soo expensive for what you get. You hardley get any meat at all. It's tasty, but there's a better deli in Downtown SJ.
