I agree. They had a scary amount of songwriting and performing talent, IMO more than any other rock band.

I just bought their Greatest Hits DVD. Good stuff 🙂

any other rock band?? i guess if you consider the beatles to not be rock.

btw, Kansas had some amazing talent also.

i do like Queens music tho.

I've been a big fan of Queen for about 25 years now, I never get tired of their work. My favorite song of theirs: You're My Best Friend.

I just like singing "We are the champions" replacing "We are" with "Brian is" (champions obviously made singular.) when I'm in my car.

Then when I sing "No time for losers" I point to all the people driving way below the speed limit.

I do an hour and a half of driving everyday. You learn to appreciate the ridiculously entertaining things you can do alone in your car with only a radio real fast.

Under Pressure will be instantly recognizable to anyone unfamiliar with Queen. There was a special on VH-1 about 25 years of music on Saturday Night Live, they showed what were to be some of the better & more memorable performances from the premier of the show until present day. The best one was Queen sing Crazy Little Thing Called Love. They just killed, they sounded perfect, super high energy, they even played a sort of "encore solo" which lasted a minute or two after the end of the normal song. This was from back in like '78- no lip sync, no playing over the recorded track, it sounded easily as good as the studio version.
