Very Funny, I wonder how many AOL users have fallen for those, I actually had a customer who I built a system for, call me (why me and not AOL, I dont know) and ask If i knew about a server crash at AOl, and whether she should send her info, I educated her a little about hax0rZ, and told her to send bogus info in the reply, just to waste thier time. At least she was smart enough to ask somebodybefore hitting reply.
<< Dear Members,
The mods have asked me to post this message since the official moderator account was accidently destroyed due to a failed hard drive back at the server farm. The dead drive consequently caused a corruption in the main user database and cascaded through out the rest of the server cluster. Unfortunaly, many users have also reported the same corruption with their own accounts. It is at this time I ask that all members please email or PM me their usernames and passwords so that I may forward it to the proper people. Each account password will be matched against those restored from the tape archives to ensure data integrity.
I mods are extending an apology to anyone that may have been affected. Everything will be done on a first come first served basis so get those usernames and passwords in ASAP.
