Ya know, it's been awhile since I've given out some Coolcoin. I think that I should have a drawing contest with a nice big Coolcoin prize. Sound fun?

After snoopy7548's epic second round win in the Coolcoin art competition, it leaves me wondering what the next Coolcoin contest should be. Let me know if you have any good ideas!

As most Coolcoin fans know, you can earn a Space Kitty t-shirt if you win 1,000 Coolcoin.

That said, if YOU had a choice of a $15 to $20 prize for 1,000 Coolcoin, what (legal) item would you pick?

A button that puts $50k into your bank account when you press it. :p

Sorry guys, but due to the insane increase in Ethereum transaction fees, I'll need to stop awarding Coolcoin for the time being. It just doesn't make sense for me to be spending about $4 in transaction fees to send people reward tokens that are worth about 2 cents each.

Right now, I think that there are only two people on Anandtech who have actually have enough Coolcoin to get a Space Kitty T-Shirt (and I'm one of them!), so I don't think that this going to have much of an impact. That said, I'll gladly start awarding Coolcoin again if the Ethereum guys fix this issue and get transaction fees under a dollar again.

That's the most BS thing about this. It actually costs less than half as much to send a $1,000 of Ethereum than it does for me to send a token. So much for the "future of decentralized applications" sales pitch that I remember reading about in the Ethereum brochure a few years ago.
