I'll be the precinct chairperson at a local polling place on Nov. 2, working a 16-hour day of enfranchising, assisting, counting, and documenting (and getting paid $11.25/hr. for it!). I also worked the 2000 presidential election, though I wasn't a chairperson, only an election inspector.

Who else is performing this vital community service this election day?
