My Vita looks sad :(

The instant Vita collection is awesome though that is available right now. It has a bunch of the games I do want for the Vita. My only problem (I think even spoke to you in PM's about this) is I just don't want to play a handheld even though I like the games on them.

I'm greatly enjoying handhelds right now as I don't have console and I'm not on my laptop as much. I don't think they're purposely ignoring the Vita, I think it's just the fact that there isn't too much to offer on it yet. Most of the big name titles are already offered or have been on a great sale already.

The main thing I'm missing and really want on my Vita right now is Rayman Origins. But, with it being basically liquidated everywhere, I have a feeling it'll show up on the list soon.

Updated OP with new PS+ info.

I own Just Cause 2 and Sleeping Dog on physical media already so I didn't download. I'll be d/ling SR3, heard it's crazy fun. Damn it, I have X-Com and Uncharted 3 already too. Damn you PS+!

You can always "buy" the free games and just not download them. You could always sell your physical games then if you want.

Updated the new PS3 offerings that went out today and the "E3 Best of 2012" sale items. Considering Playstation All Stars and Assassins Creed 3 Liberations as well as Sound Shapes...

Just remember to "purchase" each game so that it locks to your account. That way when the games are removed from PS+ you can still access them as long as you are a member.

Tried to download uncharted 3 last night but every time I tried to download in background it timed out and kicked me out of the store. Crap like this is what makes me rethink my decision to get a PS4 on release because the PSN has always been slow and clunky for me, and the store specifically is god awful. Both the PS3 and Vita stores are slow and poorly laid out.

Good tip, added to OP.

I've never had any navigation issues really, but I do wish there was an easy way besides going into my Sony Entertainment Account to see all the PSN purchases I've made in one location.

Is there an easy way to purchase without downloading? The way I've been doing it has been to purchase, which starts downloading automatically, then I have to wait until it starts before I can cancel it. It works but it's kind of cumbersome, so maybe I'm missing the easier way.

I cannot stress enough (and I've said this many times!) that it is far easier to use the Sony Entertainment Network website! It is the equivalent of going to xbox.com to buy things instead of browsing on your 360! The store even has a section for PlayStation Plus and then another category for free games. You add them to your cart, log in, "purchase" them, and you can even click a button post-purchase to have your PS3 or Vita (depending on game) download them.

So I cleared off enough room and downloaded uncharted 3. It was at 98% when I went to bed last night. This morning, I got on and went to my games and it has xcom but no uncharted on there, and if I look the memory for it is taken up. Any idea where the hell it went?

I'm guessing it was a background download, which tells me that it probably didn't install. If it didn't install, it should be near the top of the Games vertical list as the installers (icon with the bubble around them) are always at the top.

On that note, I really hope the PS4 doesn't have installs.

Yeah, the install separate from download is quite clunky. Even if they kept the same system, I'm surprised they haven't automated it to at least make it transparent to the user.
