What can I say.
Black Sabbath+Iron Maiden for the first time ever.
This is one show you have to die if you miss.
The line-up generally is amazing.

Megadeth+Dream Theater in Philly
If it weren't for the fact that I simply cannot stand Dave Mustaine, I would have gone to Gigantour. Dream Theater is one of my favorite bands, and I managed to catch them in Boston twice...once when they toured Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence, and again a year later when they did an over 2 hour greatest hits set...probably because they knew a large percentage of the audience were students at their alma mater.

I hope Dream Theater tours Octavarium...given that their songs are like 10 minutes long, its better when they tour alone and have a long enough set to play across their numerous albums.

As for Ozzfest, this will be my second Ozzfest...can't wait to see Iron Maiden and Sabbath, both firsts for me...frying my ass off in the desert with Ozzy in two weeks!!!

I went to Ozzfest yesterday, 4th row so I saw everything nice and close. I usually go before lunch time to see alot of the second stage bands, but didn't go there, due to the rain, until Rob Zombie went on.
It was not one of the best Ozzfests, but at least Crazy Town wasn't there!!

Why is Shadows Fall so popular? I love metal, but they are so BORING. Loud, Fast, and Heavy, but just not good.
I liked In Flames much better than Shadows Fall.

I don't use jets anymore - I have teleportation now.

Just so you know.. it appears that they allow cameras now! Last year the tickets said no cameras, this year my ticket said no such thing and people were taking pictures all over the place. In fact they were selling disposable cameras at the stands.
I took quite a few with my camera phone, which pretty much sucks, but its all I had.

The show on Saturday was pretty sweet - Iron Maiden was CHEESY and lame. I laughed at their fans.

Just got back from the Bay Area show. In Flames, Soilwork, and Killswitch were awesome. Maiden was cheesy, but I liked that they played all their old stuff instead of newer stuff.

I like some of their studio albums, mainly The Number of the Beast and Piece of Mind. Never have seen a live performance of them.

Haha when they played The Number of the Beast, they had this huge demon statue rise on stage. It was cheesy, but kind of cool at the same time. I like the fact that they were staying old school even though all the other bands that played are all new metal bands.
