This originally was a topic about the election debate that happened a week or so ago, but I figured with the election drawing near that a topic change would be appropriate.

Anyone have any thoughts regarding tomorrows election?

So who watched the Ontario election debate last night?

What a debacle that was.

What happened to common courtesy that lets some one finish speaking without having someone rudely interrupt you mid-sentence? The moderator really needed to put her foot down on a number of occasions.

That being said, I can't figure out why anyone would vote for Dalton McGuinty. The guy is a little weasel who does nothing but mudsling at the other two parties while dodging any direct question that was asked of him by the other two candidates.

I can honestly say if he wins, i'm leaving Ontario. :)

so who are you voting for?

I watched about 2/3rds of it and was left with the same impression of MG. In fact, I think I have the same allergic reaction to him as I do to Bush (I simply can't watch/listen either of them speak. Its painful). Eves did ok, though not too good. Hampton did well. I mean, I disagree with Hampton, but at least I can respect 1) the consistency of his views 2)him standing up for them.

But yes, if MG wins, I will suffer through every news clip and speech he delivers.

I'm voting PC.

Their strategies, especially those with regards to the economy, make the most sense to me.

(no Ontario people here? )

I think they are at the Anti-America rally, sir.

No, they're at the anti-stupidity rally and they just finished burning your effigy.

You'll have to forgive Galt. Chirac dropped the baby Galt right on his head, Bush nursed him back to health. ;)

My prediction is that Dalton McGuinty will win but the next 4 (5?) years won't be terribly different from the last so-and-so years with the Harris/Eves dream team. The Liberals and the PCs are both the parties of the Status Quo(tm) and neither will do anything terribly different from how it's always been done. i.e. DM's true views on electricity deregulation which almost matches Eves' word-for-word.

Well, I just got back from the polling station. It was kinda useless though, as my riding is extremely pro-NDP.

I should have run as a candidate for the Freedom Party. It would have been cool voting for myself.

Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner!

Even though it was nate that said he'd move, I've had Vancouver on my mind for a long time. Everything just seems soo applealing...the weather (don't mind rain, but I do mind cold and heat), the scenery (mountains! I haven't seen one in years!) and just the city in general.
