I agree... Worst is the damn soccer moms.. I used to referee junior soccer games and I swear - I lost it when they used those damn things.. I'd forget the time I was trying to keep, which hand my whistle was in, the quarter (junior games had quarters; not halves), which team was which direction, etc.. ARGG!

I am not watching the games...

But is it just in the downhill skiing events?

Because cowbells have been a tradition in downhill for YEARS and YEARS.

And yeah..it's freaking annoying

There were cowbells at my hs graduation...of all the random things those damn kids could sneak in, they brought in cowbells
