Hi Ryder,
I am hitting the same HTT wall with 1T or 2T command rate and with anything ranging from 2-2-2-8 to 3-4-4-10 timings. I initially tried the sticks in DIMM 3 and 4 and the results were slightly worse so I moved them to 1 and 2. I am running a modded version of the 1.D BIOS for the Neo 2 platinum. Out of curiosity, what ICs are on those sticks? I could try to find a BIOS optimized for that RAM IC type then.
It's a bit bizarre with the HTT thing. It is completely rock solid at super low timings at 279HTT (180Mhz DDR speed), but even 1MHz HTT over that and I can't get it to boot without dropping to about 145Mhz RAM speed..
These modules us Infineon/Aeneon BE or CE-5 IC's

You need to take that up with Outpost....it sounds like they pulled the wrong product and put it in the box. You just need to tell them that they made a mistake in packing the order.Originally posted by: passatoo
hi, ocz folks
ordered 2 set of ocz platinum edition pc2-6400 xtc el ddr2 ram 2gb kit (4-5-4-15) from outpost and got them delivered today, in the package there is only 1 set of ocz platinum xtc and the other one is ocz gold edition pc2-6400 xtc (5-5-5-12), now according to their return policy i have to obtain a rma# then ship them back (from australia) at my own expenses.
and my question is, after double paying the shipping already plus not being eligible for any rebate and now i have to pay for someone else's booboo for sending me the wrong product, is there a better way to resolve this?
cheers
Jason

Hi, glad to see this thread(found it on google). I have the Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 and 2x 512mb of OCZ ddr2800 Gold, and even after updating the bios to the f4 bios it still will not boot with the memory. Luckily I have a slow stick of 256mb corsair value which is working. Just above you said that it would work, however I can attest to the fact that it is not working for me. An suggestions? Thanks in advanced for your help.

I tried the f4c bios per your reccommendation, to no avail. I also tried many other different version up to f6b. Continuous reboots with them all.. no post even just 2 second reboots. Anything you can do for me, or anymore advice before I decide to RMA the sticks to newegg?

Both are default, as I can't get the memory to even post, to adjust it.

Just tired that, and still no boot. I imagine that when you swap ram and reboot that the ram settings go back to default due to the new spd table. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I did take it off of auto when I did that and when I put the cheap ram back in it still had the overvoltage setting on, so come to think of it the overvoltage was applied to the ocz mem
