It should come out this week, I hope. IIRC, Crytek did mention they could have released it last week, but ran into some unforseen problems that should only delay them a few days. Can't remember where I read it though.

Hmmm. Desktop is not quite as sharp as with the 61.36 WHQL (still good though), but games seem a bit smoother. Gonna keep em.

If you didn't notice, the title says "SM 3.0 support". It's there, just not enabled but there is a way to turn it on. :p

BTW, the 61.77 drivers has SM 3.0 "enabled" and nVidia probably won't release it until MS releases DX 9.0c.

Of course they arent going to officially support 9.0c until its out of beta...

I bet SM3.0 works if you install 9.0c beta just like it did in earlier drivers.

OIC :)

Installed them over the 56.72's I was using before... Had a lag problem whenever I right-clicked on something, went away with the new drivers (thankfully, it was driving me up the goddamn wall). Haven't had a chance to test it in games yet, but I have high hopes if it got rid of that damned lag (might stop the hiccuping problem I have in games).

Official rating: Thumbs up! :D

I just unzipped the exe and ran the setup.exe within to install over the 56.72s. Not into the whole "mine's bigger!" beanchmarking thing, but I can say positively that they've fixed that damn Far Cry bug where if your shadows are higher than Medium, it's drop the acid and listen to Phish time again. Now have everything cranked full on and am sailing at 1024 rez.

Plus, I'm all set for when I get a 6800GT!

? GeForce 6800: Far Cry performance is slower than expected.
LOL? What's this supposed to mean, exactly? Is this a reference to the 1.2 patch, or a driver-specific improvement?

Whoops! While shadows now work, the IQ of some of the "sheen" shaders has gone to hell - very pixelated on the floor of whatever that blue "ice cube" room is that everyone uses to check the floor. (Regulator?)
