Habs.

:)

(The H actually originally was for Hockey as in Club du Hockey - Habitant is an old term for the French colonists/farmers that settled in Quebec)

Having watched an episode of "Hockey, a Peoples History" IIRC the Canadiens are an amalgamation of 2 Montreal based Hockey teams. One of those were the Habitants. I could be wrong about that, perhaps that was just a nickname for a French based Team, but I think that's what I heard.:D

From wikipedia

"One of sport's oldest and most recognizable logos, the classic 'C' and 'H' of the Montreal Canadiens was first used together in the 1917–18 season, when the club changed its name to Club de hockey Canadien from Club athlétique Canadien,[21] before evolving to its current form in 1952–53. The 'H' does not stand for 'Habs' or Habitants; this is a misconception. It actually stands for 'Hockey', as in 'Club de hockey Canadien', the official name of the team. According to NHL.com, the first man to refer to the team as "the Habs" was American Tex Rickard, owner of the Madison Square Garden, in 1924. Rickard apparently told a reporter that the "H" on the Canadiens' sweaters was for "Habitants"."

Holy shit the Pens announcers need to stop whining about that penalty call, it's only thing they've talked about since the beginning of the game.

Wow, the Pens announcer just said that the Habs shouldn't feel confident right now. While I do agree that there's plenty of time left, I think it's ok to feel confident with a 4-0 lead.

I agree, they should score 3-4 more goals.

I hope they utterly destroy the Pens.
