I'm slowly starting to get used to the new logo. I think I'll have to buy a new jersey once they become available.
On a side note, I'm suprised that Dougie Wilson hasn't made any moves besides extending Thornton's contract and signing Rivet. We did get Rob Davidson back for cheap, but that's not really a big move to improve the team.

Well it certainly screwed a lot of teams... young UFAs will get ridiculous raises... someone like an Alex Semin (similar to Vanek) will command $7mil and Ovechkin will only be making a buck or two mil more in comparison. yeah we didn't make any free-agent pickups. so sad. we were rumored in the running for a lot of D-men but i guess we just couldn't match the money flowing out there. There were a lot of big money spent this offseason.
The Leafs will always have a special place in my heart, but I'm really impressed with the Ducks. I'd like to see them do it again. Plus I'd like to see the Blackhawks at least do something.

Well that came before the draft and it was pretty much given that one of the two goalies was going to go and Toskala was the more affordable goalie for most teams. Bell....eh who the F cares about his ass?
Edit: Also, I wouldn't say that the Sharks lost Toskala and Bell to the Leafs considering it was a trade and we ended up with a 9th overall pick. I thought it was a pretty damn good deal actually.

If I were Buffalo I might have just given up Vanek. Four first round picks ain't bad! And leave the massive salary for the oilers to deal with.
I wonder if the Canucks still plan on making any moves. They're in a tight spot, but it'd be pretty nice to add to the offense, especially with how great their goalies/defense are now.
