Wow, looking at the remaining teams, I think we're looking at a blowout SB, probably Patriots or possibly Steelers steamrolling Chicago or Atlanta. Poor NFC lol, just not good enough this year.

Reminds me of how I felt looking at the playoff picture back when it ended up being Patriots v. Rams.

I don't think ATL vs NE would be a blowout. NE's one achilles IMHO is a power run team. ATL has that in Turner.

heh I hope my wife doesnt think we're going out for our anniversary next Saturday night.
Take her out Friday night. Sunday night you won't want to do much.
Not impressed by the Packers tonight. Missed opportunities (Jones, leaving a timeout on the field at the end of the half, etc), terrible play calling, and ball control that just wasn't there tonight (4 fumbles tonight eeeek!) make this one sloppy game.

[McCarthy spin]
That's how we schemed the entire week. We had the 4 fumbles scripted. And Jones has some of the best damn hands on this football team. Why didn't we kick the field goal at the end of the first half? We had it scripted that we'd only score 14 points. Not 17. Not 10. 14.[/spin]

Oh, and how fitting was it that we kneeled at the 4yd line? Sort of exercising the demons of 4th and 26. Thank the flying spaghetti monster that we only heard that once or twice from the talking head of Fox.

Vick saved the Eagles this year but he's proof that no one man can save what is otherwise a mediocre team.

um, well duh!. look at the teams most people said where the top 5 teams all year then look at what's left in the AFC. About 4 of those 5 should look familiar.

You mean like those mediocre wide receivers he had at his disposal? I know you said 'team' but Vick is on the offense, and those receivers helped make him as good as he was.

True. but it seemed after the Giants game the offense seemed to struggle some, maybe opposing coaches saw something and adjusted..

IMO the Jets could give the Pats trouble, throw out the 45-3 result of the last game, this is the playoff's. Pats are really thin at defensive line, had to sign 2 no-names who've been kicking around various NFL practice squads just to get some bodies in there. If the Jets can run the ball as well as they did against Indy could be an interesting game, Brady (or Manning) can't hurt you if there on the bench waiting to get the ball back..

Yeah, I'm thinking the game will be closer because the Jets, unless they're really dumb, will make adjustments from reviewing the film of their loss.

They won the home game of the match up with Revis shutting down Moss. In the second game of the series, the Pats went mostly with 2-3 TEs sets and the Jets were totally unprepared for the different formations. They had Revis guarding guys like Crumpler, which should never happen.

If the Jets get their running game going to control the possession with 8 minute drives, it could go the other way. The upside for the Pats is that all QBs, including Brady, perform not so well if they're getting tons of pressure and Jets don't have an elite pass rusher, like Ware or Hali.

That said, BB and TB are smart guys too so they'll try to throw out new and different looks. They should still win on skill.

It's the playoffs, though. Huge upsets happen once in a while. See the 2007 SB and the Seattle win this year.

Well in the Pats favor the Jets really aren't that good and have a QB that sucks ass.

By no means are the Pats guaranteed a spot in the Super Bowl. They will probably win the Super Bowl, but as I've said a couple of times, I personally think that the Patriots are one of the weakest/most vulnerable 14-2 teams I've ever seen. I won't be terribly surprised if Baltimore or Pittsburgh knocks them out in the AFC Championship.

It could happen, especially with the Ravens. The thing the Pats have going for them is Bellicheck is head and shoulders above the Harbaugh.

What I think the Pats have going for them is a decent running game plus they have two TE's that are good recievers plus a real good short passing game with their ends and running backs.

The Ravens on D are big and could tire out chasing those little fuckers all day.

Jets are going to need more of those 9 min drives and it's going to come down to who's O-line kills themselves more on Sunday.

I just realised that the seahawks beat the bears in regular season, so it might actually be a toss up.

I was just going to post a new thread on this. Yeah it's the most annoying thing ever.

Oh man, this for the whole fucking game last night. Could you imagine being seated next to her? I mean, without strangling her during the first quarter.

I somehow thinks this was Pete Carroll's plan the entire time, that tricksy bastard.

LOL.. Awesome...

Alright team...here's the play...it's called the Seattle Sneak.

Ok Matt...you just play yourself and get hurt so we can suck it up.

Charlie...now you play just good enough to win us this toilet bowl division. And keep the hair looking awesome so people talk about that instead of your playing.

Def...just show up and make it look like you are trying.

Special teams...it's a coin toss each week if you show up and play or not. Heads you try...tails you don't.

ready? Break!

......17 weeks later....holy shit that worked!!!

Ok team...now everyone actually play at the same time!
Except you Matt...don't play like you. Stay healthy you fragile bitch.

ready? Break!

yup.

martz calle dlike 45 pass plays and 12 run plays, cutler got sacked 6 times.

lovie messed up yet another challenge in the game.

it was classic lovie.

I still expect it to be a decent game, unless the bears get to hasselback early and often

Can believe Philly lost because the kicker could not make a 41yard and another shoter kick. Philly and Washington will probable be looking for kickers this off season.

But good news for Falcons, GreenBay did not look that great.
