Or better yet, fire Schwartz and the Colts can hire him as our DC. :D He was a pretty good DC in Tennessee.

You forgot that Clay Matthews III is the single greatest football player in NFC, whereas Peyton Manning is in the AFC.

We as a collective human populace, for the safety and security of our race, must make sure these two superpowers never do battle. :)

With the shoddy line play of the Colts, Matthews could probably get a few sacks against Manning.

mcdaniels is a dumb ass thats why.

Pretty much. Hillis was ripping it up two years ago before he blew a hammy out at the end of the season. Guy is a beast. I love that Baltimore game where he drove landry about 15 yards downfield before he finally was brought down. :)

All he needs is different helmet and he can run around and say "I'm the juggernaut, bitch!"

Word is Austin Collie suffered a severe concussion so it doesn't look career or life altering. Even some of the Colts DBs said the hit was legal and I'm inclined to agree. Just unfortunate. Collie should be OK.

Hearing Manning talk about him his work ethic is astounding. He's always studying plays, working on technique outside of practice. He could become a top tier receiver. His season last year showcased what he's capable of.

The Browns uniform is like the closest thing to a juggernaut costume. LOL

Packers release All Harris.
What team out ther needs a aging CB with a surgically repaired knee? He's a good, stand up guy and looks jsut like Bob Marley.

That's unfortunate. Maybe MN will take a shot at him just like they did with half of the other players from GB. :)

Shields looks like he'll be a decent player once he gets a little more experience under him. He only got bested on that one TD to Bryant right before the end of the half. But then 3/4 of the CB's in the NFL would have had issues stopping that play.

I already commented on the McNabb/Shanahan fiasco last week. I don't think there is much more I can say at this stage. I am waiting for hilarity to officially ensue (aka, them signing OffTheMarkus Russell) before further commenting.

The Vikings beat a very bad team and had to come from behind to do it. Reading the articles online, you'd think they beat the 1989 Niners or something. No -- they beat a team with Derek Anderson at the helm and had to score 2 TDs in the fourth quarter to tie it up for OT. It was an embarrassing performance for them.

Hey, my AZ Cardinals might not be the 85 Bears, they could be decent. Just because we have a QB that over throws wide open receivers, dives during a blitz, and has no touch doesn't mean we're terrible. Plus we had a decent defense throughout the game except when it was needed. It doesn't mean.....wait what was I saying....

There's that other thing of having Brett Favre do what he does.

As far as the Redskins go, Ryan Leaf should be on parole soon--you could always use him as a backup to JaMarcus Russell.

I saw a blurb about the Cardinals maybe trading for McNabb? I'm sure it is a rumor at this stage but still -- WOW.

Yeah. The rumor/talk/speculation is that Harris, in practices, seemingly just hasn't been able to come back from this injury. It was/is a particularly bad kneed injury. He blew out about every tendon IIRC. So he would have been, at best #3, and Shields has that spot now. So you move Harris to 4 then, which he's WAY better than Bush (and I forget the other loser dude we have) which means lots of special teams for Harris. Which is precisely what Bush and company are good at.

It's a shame. Harris was really liked from the fan base, and even the players and coaches. He genuinely liked GB too it seems. Reports say he knew it was coming (or expected it) and he was really bummed on what had to happen, but he fully understood.

It's a shame for a career to end due to injury.

I'll take. 6-2 team with a combined 10 point deficit anyday.

And since the giants got throttled by a healthy colts team, they've been playing a lineup of mostly scrubs, I'll wait just a bit till sending out the coronation invites there.

And why the surprise with the browns, didn't they have something like a 6 of 8 record at the end of last season. Assuming the bungles don't win tonight, I'd be much more surprised about their tanking it this season for that division.

I'd put the iggles at the top of the NFC right now assuming vick stays healthy. Dirty birds way too inconsistent, the saints need to prove that they've recovered from their early season funk, the pack needs to show that they've overcome their injury situation and I wouldn't be surprised to see them lose in minneapolis in a couple weeks, and I'll already addressed the giants.

Not saying that they have, and trying VERY hard to not sound like a homer, but purely for the sake of argument/discussion: What proof do you need?

They have on the last 3. Two in convincing fashion (not to mention one by a dominating defensive win and the other by a dominating offensive win). Every game they have lost has been inredibly close and down the to wire (3pts in each L).

Honestly I'd toss Packers, Giants, and Eagles in the top 3 right now. Atlanta, honestly means nothing to me. I think its smoke and mirrors. Saints SHOULD be way better than their record, but lots of teams can say that. They have the firepower, will and coach to pull out of it though, and I don't doubt that they will.

I think McNabb has a house and lives part time in Phoenix. I remember a year ago when it was a playoff game or something and some jackass in Phoenix lit his front yard on fire.

The Giants have a remarkably easy schedule to finish off the season as well. The Eagles twice and the Packers are their tough games. I can't see the Vikings or Redskins (twice) beating them.

I still think they're the best team in football. Since their last loss to Tennessee, they are clearly a much improved team. I could see them running the table.

I'm not surprised by the Bengals to be honest. Yeah, they did well last year but I always had a gut feeling they'd be exposed and that's what is happening.

I'm more surprised at the Browns because they started off so badly and I don't think Mangini is a good coach. I think I underestimated both him and the team.

Nah, the Giants will win the NFC East and barring injuries, probably the NFC as well. The NFC will come down to the Giants, Pack, or possibly the Saints.
