HAHA, that was a pretty funny fumble. Nothing will ever top when Romo fumbled the hold on a game winning chip-shot field goal attempt that would have sent them to the playoffs.

What is up with Rivers this year? He has been bad and hasn't had a year this bad ever.

No idea. He's constantly overthrowing people, leading to terrible INT. that fumble was ridiculous (while fumbling a snap is not unusual for him; at that time and place is very unusual).

Maybe the offensive injuries are taking their toll--inability to practice with Gates throughout the year probably effects a lot of what that offense wants to do, and just throws everything off when Gates plays and can't be effective as he used to be. And I think Tolbert has caught the most passes, so far. Missing him isn't good, especially when Rivers has always been a consistent 5-10 yard dink passer to TB or TE and let them do all the work, type of QB.

But there is clearly something going on upstairs, I think. Rivers hasn't been this bad in college or the pros.

It could be him having 6 kids running around his house day and night; lack of sleep from all those 6 kids. :)

whoa 6 kids? I thought they only had 2? wtf...

Anyway, I'm pretty sure granddad, grandma and the rest of the clan are around to deal with that.

The weird thing (to me, anyway) about the Rivers clan is that they would pack up and move to wherever Philip happens to be. When he was at NCSU, pops left his life in Arkansas and moved the family to Raleigh, and took a job as a high school coach (Very successful, IIRC). Then, being drafted by SD (well, traded for baby manning, but whatever), pops picks up and moves everyone to SD.

Philip and his wife have been together since high school--I think the first kid came before he finished college. They seem like a rather close, reserved and quiet family, despite Philip's penchant for jawing off during games, lol.

Yes 6 kids, guess he can afford them all; beside he is investing on his kids to be future NFL QBs.

too bad Norv is the coach of the chargers, they need to fire him and hire Jeff fischer to motivate the chargers players.

chargers committed 12 penalties in week 8, NOT week 1. Too bad Rivers talent is going to waste as a chargers.

Too bad the Colts will hire Jeff Fisher first. At least, they better not hire Tressel to replace Caldwell.

Hahaha with Jim Harbaugh's success, the college coach craze is back!! (I can only hope, at least for laughs)

A lot of us are afraid they are going to replace Caldwell with Tressel since the Colts hired Tressel as a "consultant" after he left Ohio State.

Now the Luck lottery is down to two teams: Colts and Fins. Let the "best" loser team wins.

Goodness it was painful to watch the Fins played. What a shame for a storied franchise.

The thing with Miami is that they at least appear to be trying. They haven't been more than 10 points out of any game except the Jets one. 3 of their losses have been by a field goal or less. It's not like they totally packed it in and gave up.

Indy on the other hand just looks completely dazed and helpless. The pounding they took from NO was just brutal. That team looks hopeless top to bottom on both sides of the ball.

Week 1: 7-34

Week 2: 19-27
Week 3: 20-23
Week 4: 17-24
Week 5: 24-28
Week 6: 17-27

Week 7: 7-62
Week 8: 10-27

From weeks 2-6, the Colts quite close in each of them. A few less mistakes, and they'd have had wins in several games. I was actually at the week 3 game against Pitt. They were damn close to pulling that one off.

The sad thing about the Dolphins is they weren't (at the beginning of the season) missing any of their important players. The Colts, on the other hand, were without their franchise player, as they've been all season.

I have the same thoughts about other teams such as the Cowboys. At full force, they're still struggling to win. At least the Colts have one very valid reason to be sucking hard. The rest of these teams?
