well, that game sucked ass.

I think one of those Texas high school football teams would have made a better opponent than either of those teams.

is that a record for dropped balls by the Rams?

holy fuck.

I think last year the Rams led the league in dropped passes too. They had a bunch last week as well. Bradford must be very frustrated, his numbers, and perhaps teams record, would be even better. Maybe Isaac Bruce and Marshall Faulk will come and talk to the team or something.

Of course as a Seahawks :)$) fan I have no problem with this.

Damn, Nick Collins out for the season
A little concerned, but not as much as I started to be last year as the injuries started to pile up. Pepprah will probably step up to the plate and be the guy back there. I can't see the Packers reaching back out to Darren Sharper, as what is rumored to be taking place.

Most of my concern is for Nick's health going past this year. Reminds me of Sterling Sharpe's neck injury back in the day. I hope that he comes back and performs at the level he is used to accomplishing on the field, but I have my doubts.

That's why I went to bed shortly after the 3rd quarter started.

I was thinking that you could make a case for Peyton Manning winning the MVP this year. If the MVP goes to the player who is most valuable to their team, who made the biggest impact to that teams record, could it not be argued that Peyton is making the biggest impact and is most valuable to the Colts? Who else could be responsible for their teams won-loss disparity?

Obviously he won't get a single vote, nor should he, as the games have to be played, nothing is guaranteed. You know, on any given Sunday and all that.

The Colt's and Manning's situation reminds of the season Randy Johnson missed with my Mariners. It was very simple that season: Had he been healthy, the M's would have won their division.

Figured I'd post this here.

NFL threatens fines, suspensions for faking injuries

Not surprising to hear a few players chime in about how they do it if they feel it helps. "Whatever it takes to win" mentality. But I agree with the league in that it's definitely unsportsmanlike like conduct and should be penalized. A team being in better condition than you (or they've kept you out on the field longer) is a problem you need to rectify in ways other than faking an injury to give your team a needed breather.

Agreed. Faking injuries in soccer is one of the lamest things about that sport. Hopefully the NFL won't let that happen to football.

ROFLMAO not sure if serious? They do it all the time in football...

"I've been places where it has been (taught)," said Browns linebacker Scott Fujita, a member of the players' union executive committee. "They have a name for it and I've been places where it's been pre-called. I've been places where it's one player who has been designated. Maybe I'm getting everyone in trouble, but I'm just being honest.

"It's always been in the game," Ravens All-Pro safety Ed Reed said. "It's all tactical stuff you need to use. Whatever it takes. ... If you're tired, you're tired. You get a break however you can."

Added 49ers running back Frank Gore: "Hey, I feel if it helps, do it. I'm bound to do it. Whatever it takes to win ..."

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan was coy about the tactic when asked if he ever instructed a defense to do it.

"I can't say I have," Shanahan said before pausing. "But I won't say I haven't, either."

Then he smiled.

"It happens all the time, and warnings will come out," he added, "and it's happened again."

Peyton Manning should be the only player in NFL history (actually, sports history) to win the MVP award without playing a single game. He is easily the most important player to his team that I can remember.

Hixon has a torn ACL. What the hell is up with the Giants? Another year we're not making it into the playoffs.

The Eagles are going to kill us next week with their speed.
