Nice comeback so far from the Texans, the Ravens blew a nice lead. lets see if they can tie it.

The Texans have played like shit the first half, but the second half has been MUCH better.
This game is going into overtime unless the Ravens find some magic in the next couple of seconds.

Oh man. Awful way to lose.

I guess that's what is supposed to happen when your defense continues to push the QB backwards, throwing off his heel around the end zone...

Somebody should tell the Texans, in American football, the game is 60 min long. The game starts in the 1st quarter not the 3rd quarter, and finishes at 60 min (sometimes longer) not at 59 min.

Dear Andre Johnson and Arian Foster:

I would like to thank you for scoring more points than the entire rest of my starting lineup, combined.

Because of this, I only have to outscore my opponent by 64 points next week in the playoffs, instead of some super ungodly number... This is greatly appreciated...

As for the rest of my team, you guys better step up next week and net me like 190 pts...

Sincerely,
Mike

talk is many of the teammates wanted favre to at least take the first snap but he said no.

Salvages some respect for him from me. I'm sure Brett will be thrilled to hear this news, even if he does only ever post in The Garage . . . Oops! I've said too much. :sneaky:

Excuse me for a moment while I come in here and post a hearty:

LOL! HAHAHAHAHA, I told you so!

to Texans fans who were gloating when they beat the Colts in week #1 and claimed it was them "turning the corner." How does yet another 8-8 (or worse) season sound?

Ah it's a glorious day. Was off work last week so catching up now on some radio podcast. This area must sufer through constant deadskin coverage for reasons unknown, and to now hear the talk turning against shanny so much it's great. The cherry to top this moment will be when the haynesworth appeal goes through and they tell the skins the can inact him but must pay him.

And I haven't even listened to the eps after the extra point fiasco yet!

well, that was an awesome game last night. i was expecting boredom even though I like watching the Texans play over the previous 2 seasons--that's just the Baltimore factor. They show up, the game is going to be boring...

Schaub/Foster/Johnson absolutely manhandled that vaunted Baltimore D. that was freaking impressive, especially form Schaub who was so composed. shame it ended the way it did. :(

indycoltsfan--gloat now, but I'll assume you already realize that this is a team on a rapid ascent while your Colts are going through a nearly equally rapid decline.

I'd laugh my ass off if the Texans won the division. They still can, but they need help - they have to win out, the Jags have to lose out, and the Colts have to beat the Jaguars but lose their other two games. And I don't see the Colts beating the Jaguars but losing to the Raiders and Titans.

Last Sunday, surprising news about the Redskins coaching staff and QBs Donovan McNabb and Rex Grossman emerged in a FOX report that said the coaches had prepared Grossman to replace McNabb against the Buccaneers if the latter struggled.

That didn’t happen in Washington’s one-point loss to Tampa Bay.

Yet it appears Washington’s staff might take it a step further this week. According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, via Pro Football Talk, the Redskins are considering starting Grossman in place of McNabb this Sunday vs. the Cowboys.

In response, Kelli Johnson of CSN Washington tweeted that she had talked to a team source who didn’t believe that to be true.

Grossman and McNabb split first-team reps last week in practice, so look for that to happen when the Redskins return to practice Wednesday. Still, how hard up must the Redskins be if they feel they have to start Grossman – a QB who gives them virtually no chance to win? Also, what does that say about McNabb’s future with the Redskins?

The ravens are killing me. The way we've been playing I'm impressed we've got the record we do. I think we can make it to the playoffs, but beyond that I don't expect much.

Please tell me that's a joke.

The Texans aren't going to win the division. They're going to lose at least one more game, if not more. The only thing the Texans win year in and year out is the "Media Overhyped Us" award. This year was particularly comical given that everyone was annointing them the AFC South champs after one freaking game. I think it might be the end of the line for Kubiak. They're obviously not going to get over the hump with him. He's had ample opportunity.

I am scared of the Raiders. Even if the Colts win Sunday, there are no guarantees with either the Raiders or Titans coming up. I do expect the Colts to beat the Jags, but I won't be surprised if the Colts do lose to them. At least we're getting 4 players back for the game.

Rapid ascent? Are you serious? In the last 4 years (counting this one), they've had two 8-8 seasons and a single 9-7 season. They are guaranteed of going no better than 8-8 this year and most likely will finish under that. What is this rapid ascent you speak of? Scoring lots of points and putting up big offensive numbers don't mean anything if you can't make the playoffs or win your division, and if they were ever going to make a move, this was the year to do it considering the status of the Titans and Colts.

The Colts have had one bad year. If they win out, they'll be 10-6 and I guarantee a lot of teams would love to "decline" like that. Let's face it, the Colts' problems this year are traced to two things: 1) Offensive line 2) Injuries. Both of those are easily addressed in the off-season. The reports of the Colts' demise have been exaggerated.
