By most accounts Miami was really interested in him at the beginning of the season. But they are on a roll with Moore right now. I don't see them wanting to rock the boat there. Re: Redskins....I have no idea what Shenanginhan or that team owner will do. I don't think they even know what they will do on a day to day basis.

I would not be surprised if the Chiefs make a swing for him. Their only problem is the QB controversy should he actually win some games for them. Cassel has a massive contract for very little production. It wouldn't take much at all to improve on his numbers.

John Clayton on ESPN is saying the Chiefs will likely put in a claim. The team that lands him assumes his $1.3 million salary for the remainder of the year.

And I agree Cassel is terrible, I said all last week that you can't get much worse than Cassel's numbers when talking about Palko. I think I read earlier this season that most of Cassel's contract was front loaded, and the Chiefs could cut him after this season and not take much of a hit money wise.

The Pats will not lose to the Colts.

But if I am wrong and they do, they should be kicked out of the NFL.

Belichick would never do this, but wouldn't it be funny if another team was winless, and Belichick intentionally threw the game to deprive the Colts of Luck?

Chicago could show the NFL that they aren't afraid of admitting that sometimes deals are made too quickly. Orton and Cutler aren't mortal enemies and in light of the injury situation the pairing of these veterans could be the key to the playoffs.

Oh yeah, the prospect of Tebow versus Orton is tantalizing.

I'm sure Testaverde is somewhere waiting for a phone call.

Or shit--what about Kurt Warner signing on to complete the year with Da Bears?

Just got back home from the Packers game (flew out Saturday, flew back this morning). Man, Lambeau is a great place to watch football. I hope the new 49ers stadium is even half that whenever its built. The crowd, atmosphere, even the cold weather.. just awesome. Also happy the Packers won so the guests I was with have a reason to invite me back. I would have never heard the end of it if they lost.. lol
I'm mad jealous, watching a game at Lambeau is definitely on my Bucket List.

So if the Dolphins win out, does Sparano stay?

Words on the street are unless Fins wins the rest of the games, makes the playoff, and then wins some games, Sparano may as well get ready for the pink slip.

We all know about how Ross (Fins owner) was chasing current 49ers headcoach a while back but could not get him.

Former Steelers and Bucs coaches are on the list (all rumor of course).

Only the fins could be so stupid as to lose the Luck sweepstakes :p

Uhhuh, rightttttttt...... 1 QB would change the fortune of the team. Let ask the Chargers (Leaf) or Raiders (Russell), Browns (Couch), Bengals (Smith), Lions (Harrington) just to name a few at the top of my head. Me think you need to stay in P&N, better suit you there.

Very nice! I've only been to one other NFL game and that was at Lambeau in 2006 (...finally!) for the Jets/Packers game. Unfortunately the Packers got stomped 38-10, Favre had 2 interceptions, etc. Still, spending half the day outside tailgating and watching football in single digit temps at Lambeau was all I hoped it would be. Besides, I learned to accept horrible losses like that all through the 80's and early 90's.

Was cool to get to see the Metrodome this weekend since it's not going to be around much longer, and even better to get to see the Vikings lose there. :awe:

Couple nice hits from last night lol

No pics of the hits Brady took though. He took a couple of good shots, including a surprise butt-secks from a DE.

I could see the Chiefs signing Orton, but frankly I wouldn't want them to unless he's the backup to Stanzi.

Wasting more time on a lame duck QB is the last thing the Chiefs should be doing. The Broncos have wasted about 3 years on that now. They should be finding out if Stanzi could be any good. Depending on how he looks shore up other glaring holes and make him your QB, or keep him as backup, dump Cassel and Palko and then draft someone in the first round (and trade up if you have to if you have a shot at Luck or Barkley).

Cassel should not be starting in the NFL. Simple as that. Sure there are worse guys starting in the NFL, but that doesn't really justify it. I don't know if Palko should even be on the practice squad of an NFL team, and sure as hell should not be the 2nd string QB and starting any game. Orton would be an improvement, but that's the thing. If he came in and played well, it should tell you just how bad those other two really are and that improving the QB position should be priority number one.
