It's gonna be an absolute bloodbath. I kinda wonder if either the Steelers or Ravens would have anything left for the AFC championship.

That's what everybody said in 2008 (?) when the steelers went through the ravens in the AFC championship before winning the superbowl.

Who here has actually been to Gillette? I Went once, I took the train. It brought me there late. I want to take the car this time, but I heard stories about leaving the stadium and sitting in traffic for 2 hours....Trying to find the best way this time.

I've been a few times, be prepared to sit on Rt 1 for a bit after the game. Last time I went, we got a ride from a car service. The driver cut down some side street which shot us out onto 95 within 5 minutes and we were on our way. I wish I could say I knew the way, but if you left Gillette (facing away), we took a right onto Rt. 1 and the turn to the shortcut was on the left, right before a little convenience store / strip mall if I remember. I'm sure that all helps immensely :p But if you look it up on Google Maps, it might be helpful for planning out a route. Good luck!

That was the championship game, whoever wins this time will still have one more game to play to get to the super bowl. And being that its probably going to be the Pats (GO JETS!) it will take a lot more out of them this time.

And also, they won't be playing the "lucky to be there" Cardinals in the Super Bowl unless the SeaHawks get there somehow. In which case, the Steelers/Ravens/Pats/Jets will get yet another easy super bowl, and it will be another retarded one to watch.

Seahawks won't get there though, no way they repeat what Arizona did 2 years ago

Well if it's the Pats we're fucked either way. They're the only team in the league that has figured out how to beat the steelers consistently.

You don't have to worry because the Ravens and Jets are gonna win. :p

u mad bro? :p

Mad about what? I didn't expect the Colts to win. I am happy I can sit back and watch the game with no vested interest and no matter who wins or loses, I'll get to enjoy the carnage on ATOT following the game. :awe:

Heck, I even said earlier this season that I wanted the Pats to smack the Jets hard in their second meeting and then I wanted the Jets to beat the Pats in the playoffs. I don't think it will happen but hilarity will ensue with either outcome, so I am cool.

Take an earlier train?

Expect 2-3 hours based on where you park, that's why a lot of people will leave early if the game is blow-out and why Brady talked about being disappointed that there were so many empty seats in the 4th Qtr in one game. Everybody wanted to get the hell out of their to beat the traffic.

Also, I have friends that will tailgate after the game instead of spending the time in traffic.

Can't remember if it was bob ryan or that chick sportswriter, but one them said that the patriots stadium was by several magnitudes the worst when dealing with traffic.

What about parking somewhere else besides Gillette?

I know there are parking lots all along Rte 1. I'm guessing the further away the lot is from Gillette the better but you'll have to walk a longer distance.

May want to find local sports forum where you might be able to get better help.

Suggs is talking again. I think he's schizophrenic towards Brady.

There's probably a little bit of a man-crush in there. Although I think the Steelers are an overall easier matchup, I'd love to see the Pats go Jets->Ravens->Packers. I feel like the only thing that can stop the Pats is if they take the foot off the gas a bit, and the combination of Ryan/Cromartie, Suggs, and Woodson would make sure that never happens.

So talking to a couple of guys at work about this weekend games and everyone seems to be in agreement to put 100 points on the Pats and forget about picking the other three games. It is damn near impossible not to do that Especially with the Pats at home.

Of course those are the same guys who put 100 points on the Saints and walked away with nothing.

Decisions...decisions....

I'm glad everyone is running their jaws in the AFC this week. Will leave room for the NFC next week. :)
