again, another reminder that ARod isn't the choke artist people want to claim he is. 4 of 5 with a crucial double in the 9th.

Yes, he had a great game tonight, and he had a really clutch hit.

So sad that as a fan of a team with a $200 million dollar payroll, I'm all giddy that they avoided a sweep.

The new guy who played tonight.. Kevin Reese. He's my roommate's sister's boyfriend. He's been in the minors for a couple of seasons, and finally got a shot at the majors tonight.

Really? Wow. My roommate doesn't talk to his sister very often. I'll have to fill him in.

Most people would know that their sister got engaged over the weekend! Unless they really don't get along and don't speak to each other. I would think so anyway. :p

On Friday, he proposed to Laura Le Gallo after the Clippers' game. They plan to get married in December. They had been talking about marriage for a while but hadn't set any plans.

"I kind of surprised her," Reese said.

Wow. That's really cool. I sent the link to my roommate. That's pretty quick.. she was married about 2.5 years ago and her husband died in a plane crash in Australia, on the honeymoon. Crazy.

Maybe I'll go watch them in Baltimore tomorrow or Tuesday.

OMG, they called a balk on Chris Klein and he totally lost it. Bumped two umps and threw the ball back at the umps.

There was a balk. He made a move and hesitated with his foot still on the rubber. That's a balk.

Anyway, Yankees win.

EDIT: Yeah, his name is Steve Kline. Chris Klein is that idiot actor.

The Orioles are crapping out...granted no Melvin Mora or Javy Lopez in the lineup so that hurts them alot.

Steve Kline is an idiot.

They win tonight with hits off the bats of Womack and Berniew. Two struggling Yankees among a struggling team.

Like I said somewhere in this thread a month or so ago.. Bernie Williams somehow gets that big hit. Say what you will about his declining skills but I still think his bat is dangerous in big moments.

Tigers have a pretty good team with some nice players.

The next couple of days COULD be a nightmare for the Yanks as Pavano has been stratched today and replaced by Chien-Ming Wang, tomorrow its Tanyon Sturtze in a spot start then the Little Unit Randy Johnson on 3 days rest. Should be interesting and the Yankee offense has to step it up a notch.
