I didn't watch the game, but Gonzaga goes to the line a lot in every game.

Saying they are just not good is ignorance. Is this the first game you've watched them play?

No I've seen them 4 or 5 times this season. Turiaf played big, but 20 from the line on so many touch fouls. Stepp's a good player, but I don't think they can put up anything against Arizona. UC could physically stand with em but probably not enough talent.

How bout Violette's dunk? That's a techinical foul, you cant hold the ball after a basket, delay of game. If you didnt watch, someone was trying a lob pass/ ally oop pass and it went in. Violette rebonded it out of the net and dunked it.

Hungins got thrown out after 2 T's when Maxielle got bumped and travelling was called, wasnt a huge bump but even Dick and Kareem said Maxielle kept his pivot foot down.
Turiaf
Bobbit got a 3 blocked with a chance to tie with like 10 seconds left. Turiaf shot 20, maybe more, from the line.

I don't think either team is particularly good, maybe we have different definitions of a good team, I'd like to reserve "good" for 10 or so elite teams.

our definitions of good are off. I see where you are coming from now saying that the top ten elite teams are what you consider good. I consider those great teams. I consider a team that can make the NCAA tournament without an automatic bid, good. (some automatic bids are good too...don't get me wrong. but some are just lucky and have good nights).

Whoops, I didn't know this thread existed. Why did I start a UConn vs. BYU thread? 😱

Anyway, the score right now is 23-22 UConn, with both teams shooting horribly. I hate games like these. 🙁 Go cougars!

I'm guessing there will be tons of threads created anyway...but thought this would give us one thread for everything. 🙂

Fvck 8-9 games. I missed em both. The tourney is 2 hours old and I'm allready ready to rip up my bracket.

I had NC state as my cinderella, knocking off Oklahoma and reaching elite 8

UConn and BYU are tied at 26 at the half. This might prove good for BYU. They're 17-1 when holding opponents under 70 points, and UConn is averaging 80 a game! Stupid Araujo had to get 3 fouls in the first half (grumble grumble...)

damn...ncst had to lose to cal.
at least i got marq. & gonzaga 🙂

edit: another damn...i swear i put gonzaga. arghhh...its official i had cincy 🙁

HAHAHA. I have miss state in the final four.

Edit- I was going to put Southern Illinois as an upset special, but I didn't.

Hmmm...think they can get past Pitino and the Cards, eh? pffffft

😛

My Final Four is Kentucky, Miss State, Arizona, and Texas. Kentucky and Miss State for the championship, and UK wins it all! I have Louisville losing early. They suck!

With as much parity as there is in college hoops nowadays, I think by that definition, there more good teams than teams in the tourney.

Oh yeah?!?! 😛

I have 1/2 of that Final Four. Mine is Kentucky, Texas, Illinois, and Louisville (a guy can hope, eh?) with Kentucky beating Texas in the final.

I wouldn't disagree with that statement either. 🙂

Looks like we may be getting close to our first bonefide upset as SIU is starting to pull away from Mizzou.
