The pre madness starts this week! Georgia Tech looks awfully hard to beat!!

Here's my fantasy team (out of 9 team league), points scored by division ranking and making the field of 64:
UConn
Maryland
Stanford
Florida
Oklahoma
Toledo

UConn's going to be nasty with Rudy Gay, UMD with Gilchrist, Stanford should contend with UW and AZ for that division, UF and OU are predicted to be nasty, and Toledo will win the MAC ;)

Stanford always chokes. I think Oklahoma will be the only one out of that group to get to the Final Four. UNC and Georgia Tech look lethal this year.

You think Oklahoma will beat OK State? I dunno about that... I think OK will make the tourney, but State will go farther...

Georgia Tech hopefully going all the way this year. Damn near the entire team is back. Paul Hewitt is gonna have his work cut out for him in the ACC this year though: WF, UNC, NC State are all gonna be tough. Maryland is always a wildcard.

UMD has all of their starter back IIRC!

Watch out for the Cuse. We've only lost 1 player from last year's team (Jeremy McNeil) and last year's freshmen look to have improved quite a bit in both their play and their decision making. If Josh Wright can mature a bit as a college PG before Big East play begins, the Cuse is going to be dangerous. Luckily, Wright won't necessarily have to be thrown into it like McNamara was in 2002-2003 seeing as though Edelin was deemed academically eligible late last month, so he could help ease Wright into the lineup.

Illinois should be pretty nasty with Luther Head, Dee Brown, James Augustine, and Roger Powell returning and what looks to be a pretty solid bench.

I think Providence could be a sleeper. They have some solid talent and one of the best players in the nation in Ryan Gomes. They could very well make some noise in the Big East and around the nation this year.

I've been waiting for college basketball to start since April 6 and it's about time the season started. Go Cuse!

Go Badgers! :)
Although I'm sad that Devin Harris left for the NBA... Not that I wouldn't do the same.

Aren't you forgetting about Hakim Warrick? The man has ups like superman and is a PTPer baby!!

Illinois should be nasty, yes. Louisville lost one of their bench players in the frontcourt yesterday, ouch. That may be a factor late in games...

My predicted Final Four:

Kansas
Wake Forest
Oklahoma State
North Carolina

But honestly, there are about 15-20 teams this year that have a legitimate shot at winning it all.

Can't wait for the season to start! Cuse will hopefully make it 2 championships in 3 years.

I'd watch out for UConn though. Sure they lost Okafor and Gordon but I've read that Villanueva has really stepped up his game and their diaper dandy, Rudy Gay, is phenomenal. They could be scary come tournament time.

Yes, Cuse, Uconn, and ND will all vie for Big East domination ;)
