Sorry for the recent lack of updates on this official thread. Didn't realize my free time was going to be completely sucked up by our house hunt and all that goes with it.

Season 2, Ep. 18

Episode: Casino Night

montanafan's comments (copied and pasted from page 2)...thanks montanafan!
Semi-summary.

A lot of funny things in the episode of course, but the biggest scenes were about Jim and Pam. Jim was talking to Jan about the transfer and she asked him if he'd told anyone about it and he said he hadn't. She told him he should. Then Jim and Pam are outside the warehouse after Roy leaves and Jim tells her he has something to tell her, you think it's about the transfer of course. She starts kidding with him about beating him at poker and he just out of the blue says, "I'm in love with you." She says, "I can't", and then starts talking about him being her best friend and he stops her and says, "Don't do that". He tells her that he just needed to say it and for her to hear it once. She says she's sorry if he misinterpreted her behavior and that it's probably her fault. As he's walking away he says that he's sorry for the misinterpretation, but it sounds a little sarcastic.

You think that's the big scene, but then they show Pam in an empty office talking to her mother on the phone. She says something about him being her best friend and then in answer to a question she says, "I think I am." You figure her mother must have asked if she's in love with him. Then Jim walks in and Pam tells her mother she has to go and hangs up. Jim walks over to her and she starts to say Jim and then he takes her in his arms and kisses her. After a slight hesitation she kisses him back and then after the kiss they're looking at each other and you can tell Jim is waiting for her to say something and the screen goes black and that's the end of the show.

It was a good one.

Great episode. I liked the heart to heart that Pam and Jim had (kinda) in the break room. He was so fast to tell her to do the internship and so supportive. This is the only thing on tv (aside from colbert report) i actually am interested in watching.

Great episode!! I literally LOL'ed at the exchange between that hot boss and Michael in the conference room. Also funny were the parts when the guys decided to form a union.

Compared to the first season, I thought some of the past few episodes weren't as good. But the latest one, Boys and Girls, was excellent.

If you like the US version, then you owe it to yourself to check out the original BBC series. It look me a while to get into the BBC one, but I loved that series.

Yes more posters!

Yeah, I'm going to catch up on the British version, I'll need something to do Thursday nights once the Olympics start 🙁

I'd agree that the most recent episodes haven't been quite as funny/cringe humor as the earlier episodes, but I love what they are doing with character development.

Just finished watching it, gotta say, it was a good episode. The cringe moments were strong, especially shooting the sh!t with the other managers before the meeting started. Then, the presentation was absolutely ROFL.

LOL @ Conan's cameo 😀

edit 2: Forgot to say that Michael's favorite NYC pizza place (Sbarro's) reference had me cracking up.

I'm glad to see that The Office is finally coming back on tonight.

On a different note, it was mentioned in the latest Rolling Stone that Steve Carell was "cutting The Office short" to film Evan Almighty (the sequel to God Almighty).

I've been waiting for the Olympics to end for just that reason.

And I hope that rumour is just that, a rumour. There's very little television I enjoy anymore.

ROFL! I thought last night was thursday! I was watching NBC at 9:30 EST and it was law and order...i was bummed. I'm glad I found this thread about the show...I'll watch it tonight.

Aaaah... forgot to record tonights. Anyone know where to get them online? iTunes doesn't have this episode yet.
