however, i stick to joysticks for fighters in general. sometimes I wonder though if I would do better with a pad in MK just because it doesn't require nearly as much precision and I actually think the blocking with the shoulder buttons on pad would be advantageous over a joystick simply because i could transition faster between block and attack.

This is the reasoning behind my query. I'd hate to pick it up and find I preferred the pad instead.

I ended up picking this up on the PS3 (GameStop's $40 sale). Although, now I'm not sure if I should have considered the 360 more. None of my friends (all with 360s) pay for Live, so I'd have to bring it over to play with them. Only one of my friends has a PS3. Oh well, chances are I'll play solo, and the PS3 is slightly less annoying if I want to switch from the PS3 upstairs to the one downstairs!

But anyway... this topic has probably been beat to death in here, but I probably wouldn't have bought it if I knew it had a code to enable online content :\. Seems like it'd be a pain to have to log into my account on a friend's console ( if I bring the game over ) just so we can go online or use other online features. Fortunately, I don't think it hampers much, so maybe it's not a big deal!

I'm just waiting for them to release Kenshi. Probably my second favorite behind UMK3's Noob Saibot.
