so far no big moves...althought the dbacks are dishing out a lot of money

I thought they were poor and in serious debt?? The Yankees say there asking for so much for Johnson cause they were in some rebuilding mode. Guess not with those insane signings of Glaus and Ortiz. A bit overpaid no?? Glaus is a stud when healthy but he's had some injury problems.

Omar Minaya STILL thinks he could sign Pedro..wow. He can't see that Pedro is using the Mets for leverage in his contract talks with the BoSox. As the wise David Ortiz said a few days ago, "Pedro aint gonna be no Met!"

yeah i have no idea what they are doing...they asked baseball to forgive like $40 million in debt or something...weird

Minaya is a first year GM with the Mets...he doesnt know that every player in baseball knows that they can use the mets as leverage

I hope my beloved Dodgers resign Beltre and get some starting pitching soon.

I will be surprised if they get Beltre back

Supposedly the M's have offered him 92m for 7 years, which the Dodgers probably won't match.

Let him go to the M's then. I say last season was a total fluke for Beltre. I could be wrong however as the potential was always there but that breakout season was a little to "flukey" to me..whatever that means. 🙂

I dunno, I have a good feeling about him. He had a pretty good year in '03 all things considered and had the appendectomy stuff to deal with before that. As an M's fan, he also sounds good b/c he did well playing in Dodger Stadium which compares nicely to Safeco Field. We'll see, though, I remember hearing that the M's were going to sign Miguel Tejada last year and that it was almost a lock, heh.
