How is a 2-time super bowl MVP with the highest winning percentage among current QBs overrated?

Because he is doing it with a *great* team. He's not pulling sh!t out of his ass like Farve or Manning have before.

On behalf of all Steelers fans, thank you Dolphins! Not just for the edge for the home-field advantage, but for the psychological damage it does to the Pats.

Brady == overrated

Yes, yes he is. I was arguing that with a friend tonight, and said he was an average QB on a great team.

One lousy game and all of the sudden he's overrated? :roll:

The guy HAS one two Superbowls in the last three years. He's certainly can't put up the stats of someone like Culpepper or Manning, but he wins when it counts.

He wins because of his team. Perhaps you cannot read, but he is not that good against a good secondary. Hence the reason I put MONEY on Miami to beat them straight up. Look at what I linked in this thread, I said the Pats would lose. I rarely, if ever, make football predictions on here. Anyway, he is an average QB that has been given a great team. You put Manning on that team and they wouldn't lose for five years.

I've said from the very beginning that TB came out of nowhere as an average NFL QB and was elevated to God status. 4 picks vs one of the worst teams in the NFL, and Dillon was the main reason they were in the game. When you get outplayed by AJ Feely(who I consider to be pretty damn subpar) I'd say you are overrated. Everyone likes to talk as if any other average to decent QB couldn't have taken those Pats teams to the Superbowl.
Yeah right, he has a horrible game and now he's average. He sure in the hell didn't look just average in last years superbowl.:roll:

I think he's better than average, but not by much. He has good presence in the pocket and doesn't make too many mistakes. He's better than a Jake Plummer but he's sure no Favre or Manning. The one thing he does get is lots of protection and time to throw so his success is more a credit to the O-line than his outright skill and he does have trouble against a good secondary.

I could EASILY argue that Delhomme did better:

Both threw 3 TDs, Brady threw one INT, Delhomme 0 (although he lost a fumble so turnovers are equal)

Both threw for over 300 yards

Brady's completion percentage was higher but that was because of all his more often than not dinky passes for an 11 yard average vs. Delhomme's 20 yard average.

Granted it was on one of Brady's drives that Vinnateri kicked the game winning field goal so Brady gets the MVP... So considering they both did about equally well, Brady was merely the one to have the last chance to score so that gives him status of a godly QB and Delhomme gets nothing?

Brady played well during the whole game while delhomme played well only during the 2nd half (i think). Didn't the panthers have like negative passing yard until the 2nd half?
