wooohooo!!!

Just got off work, skipping class tonight to go to the parade, don't have sh!t to do till next Wednesday except get fscked up. God I love Mardi Gras.

Anybody coming down for the party???

edit: not going to NO. Austin is suck, they announced they are going to arrest any female who expose their breasts. Law only apply to 6th St, where most bars are located, also doesn't apply to male, and only for the next few days, the rest of the year you can go topless anywhere you want.

arg don't remind me. i am supposed to be en route to LA, but i ran into a money shortage (either go to mardi gras or pay tuition and finish school). sometimes i think i might have made the wrong choice. my roommate is on his way there probably getting sloshed and here i sit at work. :disgust::|:disgust::disgust::disgust::disgust:

Sorry to hear about the down side of Mardi Gras from the two replys above. But anywhere can be Mardi Gras if you have the right frame of mind! (Speaking of which, Mardi Gras actually started in Mobile, Alabama 20 years before New Orleans - they just have better PR; also Galvaston, TX had MG 10 yrs before New Orleans).

We're having a block party in NC this weekend. Dookie (Duke) girls get beads to keep their shirts on! Really, just kidding...

Anyway, here's some Hurricane recipes for you to try at your MG party:

Simple Hurricane
Ingredients:
1.0 splash Grenadine
2.0 oz Orange juice
4.0 oz Pineapple Juice
1.0 shot Meyers Dark Rum

Directions: mix the Meyers dark Rum, Pineapple juice, and orange
juice, and stir. Then splash enough grenadine to turn the drink red.


A Dark and Nasty Hurricane
Ingredients:
1.0 oz. Cranberry juice
1.0 oz. Orange juice
1.0 oz. coconut Rum
1.0 oz. Rum
1.0 oz. Light Rum
0.5 oz. 151 Proof Rum

Directions: Mix all but 151 with ice and pour into collins glass.
Float 151 on top.

As per MaxDepth's request, this is now the *official MG party thread*

So no one is coming down or already here? Last year a couple of people came down, but I didn't get a chance to meet up because I had the flu (that really sucked...all my friends were having a great time, and I was stuck at home, alone, sick :|).

Oh well, about to head over to my friends' house and then get started at Happy Hour at around 4. This could be my last check-in for awhile, as the party really gets started tonight. Last night was just a warm-up (I actually slept last night...usually don't get to do much of that! ).
