I can't believe how many whiners there are in here! Look, if you don't like the Lakers, fine, don't like them. But quit you're fricken whining and accept that they won. We heard the whining from the Sacramento queens last year, we don't need to hear it from the rest of the Laker haters again this year.

A very good article from ESPN on all the conspiracy theories, the coaching of Phil Jackson, referee calls, etc. link.

Conventional wisdom says the NBA needs the Lakers in the finals to maximize its TV ratings, especially if the alternative from the West is small-market San Antonio or Sacramento.

Quoted str8 from ESPN.

Wake up cyber-geeks, the Matrix has you. ;)

Quote from an article in the LA TIMES:

"But hopefully we can put the whining about the officiating to rest. Commissioner David Stern should decree that the rest of the series be called the same way as Game 5, when the crew of Dan Crawford, Ted Bernhardt and Bob Delaney avoided blowing their whistles at all costs. There weren't any of the unnecessary offensive fouls called on the Lakers or game-changing bad calls against Tim Duncan and David Robinson that were blown in Game 4. The officials let them play in Game 5, letting contact go at both ends. As a result, no starter had more than three fouls ? and everyone was talking about the game itself.

We can only hope the next game(s) will feature the same type of officiating."
