Anyone planning on watching this? Seems to be some sort of "E.R." meets "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". The premiere is 2 hours and will be broadcast in HDTV (I believe ABC uses 720p?) Should be interesting, and besides, I already downloaded tonight's "O.C."

I, for one, have been looking forward to it ever since I saw the first ad. I'll capture it in HD if anyone wants it...

2 GB DivX/AC3 AVI. Captured from local airwaves (WZZM-DT to be precise), only one reception glitch. I don't have any video editing apps handy so commercials and bug are included. Please be considerate enough to upload if you download it, I will be seeding at only 8 KB/sec.

"Starring Ed Begley Jr."

That pretty much gives it the kiss of death for me.

Is this a remake of the German Version of Kingdom with ghost and crap in the hospital?

Watching it now. Intro sequence seemed like it was ripped off from 'The Ring'...but cool nonetheless!

It was Danish, not German... And Yes it is.

I'm not watching this as I'm not a Stephen King or Made-for-TV movies fan. But both Kingdom 1 and Kingdom 2 are in my All Time Top 10 Movie List. If you get a chance to see the originals, you should. Just watch out for the hour & 1/2 edited version of the first film that was released in the U.S. The original version was a mini series and six hours long. IFC shows them every once in a while.

I liked it for the most part. Too bad it's going to conflict with Enterprise, but then again that's what suprnova is for... ;)

The capture is going to take awhile to transcode (19000 kbit/s 1280x720 MPEG2 to 2000 kbit/s 854x480 DivX) but I'll have it up ASAP.

This show moves veeerrrryyy slllooowwww--I hope they paced it that way on purpose. My God it took Dr. Stegman (prick from Boston) like half an hour in real time to park his car!!!

Other random thoughts:

- A painting of an anteater?? Ok...
- The down syndrome orderlies are a trip
- I don't get Mrs. Druce. Is she a hypochondriac? If so, why would a hospital waste money on an MRI for "pins and needles in my arm"??
- Otto would play Professor Fink in a real-life 'Simpsons' movie!!! "My GLASSSSSSes!!!"
- Anteaters???
- The ghosts are kinda dumb looking (bad CGI.)
- I really don't like it when they play the same song over and over again in the same episode (anyone know the 'jogging' song and who its by?)
- ANTEATERS??

If anybody would be so kind as to allow us to download it, I would really appreciate it - I only caught the last 30 minutes or so after I got home from work. Looked interesting though - d@mn strange, but interesting none the less. Did King himself ever appear in the show? I know he always has a "bit" part in his movies and miniseries; he always shows up somewhere

I made it through the first 5 minutes or so, but then fell asleep. A long, hard day zapped my energy and attention. I'm going to catch the next part, though, and hopefully, I can figure out what's going on.

I love Stephen King as a writer, but feel that most of his work that hits the screen doesn't do him any justice at all.

I didn't much like it. Stephen King's work rarely ever translates to the screen well, because almost all of what happens in his stories happens in the minds of his characters.

Watched it from ReplayTV last night.

Thoughts:

Twin Peaks meets X-files
They need to batten down the story and punch it, they wre ALL OVER the place in the pilot.
They tried to give eye candy, like the security guy waxing the floor, why the hell was he waxing the floor? Because it looked wierd...
I liked it, I'll watch the rest, I enjoy absurdism. Will most people like it? I doubt it.

Mrsskoorb and I recorded this and tried to watch it. It was absolute garbage. It was comically bad. Problems:

1) Wife bugging the guy about running on the road. I presume he's a regular runner, so wouldn't they have gone over that?
2) Guy who ran him over with the truck. He was ALL over the road. NOBODY would be like that running all over the road without pulling the hell over.
3) Wife was not told that he was run over. The cops had all fvcking day to tell her, but she found on basically on the news at 6:30 at night
4) Talking animals. I guess there was a point to this? The second we turned it off was when the german sheppard said something in a german accent to somebody who was not the main guy, so can everyone hear what the animals say? Who cares.
5) Doctors acting like doctors from Scrubs.

We truly gave this show a try, but it was utter filth. Honestly I can't imagine who thought that this would be a good idea to put on TV. King must be ashamed, although I've always found that he has some good material, and some boring crap material. This was the latter. Maybe it was better in a book, but I sure won't find out.

I also found it to be laughable. While I found the anteater amusing, WTF!?!

And the german guy? C'mon!

I won't waste any more of my time. And I was excited for this. Bah!

So far, I'm a fan...

Sure it's not perfect, and yes it's quite absurd. But what's not to like about that??? ;)

I watched the second episode off torrent this weekend...still moving very slow for me. This is the kinda situation where a bad pilot kills the series...I guess the network execs must've seen more otherwise this would never have been on the air. Definately NOT mainstream television.
