yes...the league has made it clear that if any team signs him and he goes to jail they only lose the player and are not obligated to fufill any contract obligations. tehy dont lose cap space or anything.

whether to pay him is not the problem, the big one is what to do when they lose both of their all-stars, shaq & kobe
