I liked it. (note: I paid matinee prices)
the beginning was slow tho.
i thought the continuous images of living with the lack of a/c (in both the car and the house) was a powerful statement about living w/o the simple luxuries that I take for granted everyday.
The thing i didnt get was why the hooker was reluctant to have sex with the music store owner in trade for the microphone?! All of a sudden, she didnt want to feel cheap anymore?! WTF was that about?!
And it was predictable what he was going to find in the toilet near the end, even before he walked into the bathroom.
Anyway, I would give it a B.
