I liked it. (note: I paid matinee prices)

the beginning was slow tho.

i thought the continuous images of living with the lack of a/c (in both the car and the house) was a powerful statement about living w/o the simple luxuries that I take for granted everyday.

The thing i didnt get was why the hooker was reluctant to have sex with the music store owner in trade for the microphone?! All of a sudden, she didnt want to feel cheap anymore?! WTF was that about?!

And it was predictable what he was going to find in the toilet near the end, even before he walked into the bathroom.

Anyway, I would give it a B.

I really enjoyed the movie. I feel like I live in the movie everyday, and knew exactly where the scenes took place (my shop is right around the corner from the main house). I guess I am a little biased since I live in Memphis though.

Hehe, I always laugh at that little clip in the trailer where it sounds like they're just singing "fuck that shit!" over and over and over, but a movie with Ludacris in it must be good, right? :p

Yeah it's nice to see a decent movie was made here recently, with some pretty well known names. Glad to see MTV isn't still mad at us from the last time they were here....
