Don't worry too much yet. Moving over the islands is going to keep 'Emily' at a relatively weak status..

If it enters the gulf of mexico it will strengthen rapidly.

If it goes over the islands, that's a big assumption at this point.

Following Dennis's track initially into the eastern/northern Carribean.

Maybe cleanup some of the left over debris?

It's only a tropical storm? When is it going to turn into a 'cane?

Give it a couple of days to pick up energy when it arrives in the eastern carribean.

The Atlantic does not charge it up so much as the warmer shallow waters as it gets closer to to islands.

All I can say is dont hit Texas.

Hit Florida or something. I have a conference in Galveston next week...

No, my husband and I are going on our yearly anniversary trip to St Augustine and we won't be able to go if it is aiming for Florida, because either way we are screwed.

Texas NEEDS the rain!

adding to that, there is another tropical wave coming off the coast after emily.

i'd be willing to bet that there will be one after that as well

Scientist say that this will occur next year at roughly the same time period.
