Registering in monthly tip thread.

~~★★ This Place for Rent ★★~~

Typical Indian guys do not tip at all. However I live in a upscale neighborhood where ever Indian guy I know suffers from Affluenza, these are working class people who buy 80 - 100 thousand dollar cars with no loans, and everyone seems to tip pretty well, 20% or more...

I refuse to tip! So, the obvious answer is $0. "Tipped" wages are only low if they don't make beyond minimum wage in tips. So, they are really just minimum wage workers who have the chance to make more.

Not really, I just like to stir the pot! For what it's worth, I left a $100 tip on a $300 dinner this weekend.

Wife made me breakfast, lunch and dinner. Will give her the tip, and more, later.

tipped $8 for a haircut.

my haircut rule is that I pay $20... if I go to the place that charges $16, I tip $4. went to the barbershop that has a $12 weekday special today, so I tipped $8.

I remember getting dinner last year. After we were done the waiter gave me the check and was hoping for a tip.

My tip was "Don't play in the center of the highway." :)

I take the tax, double it and leave that as the tip. So, if it was $2.25 in tax, I round up to $5. Tax in NYC is 8.875%.

When I get a sandwich, coffee or whatever at a take out counter / place, I leave $1 to $2, if there is a jar somewhere to accept tips.
