Official "Hide and Seek" thread

Saw the NYC premiere on Wed. - wasn't half bad - had a good amount of the audience jumping in their seats a few times - just a creep film overall.
I'd say go see it for matinee prices. DeNiro was his usual awesome self.

you wanted spoilers you got em
------SPOILER ALERT-------------------------------------------------------------

Robert DeNiro's wife apparently commits suicide in a bathtub. Fearing his daughter (Dakota Fanning) will have permanent traumatic damage if they stay in the city (NYC), DeNiro moves to a rural upstate home.

He finds his daughter becoming more distant and distant, and she supposedly has a friend named Charlie who she does everything with. Things start to go wrong when all the dolls in her room are mutilated and gone, bloody words in the bathtub start to appear at 2:06, blahblahblah

The twist?

DeNiro has a split personality. He got that when he saw his wife cheating on him. His split personality killed his wife and propped her in a bathtub to make it seem like a suicide. The real DeNiro does not know he has a split personality. "Charlie" his split personality is a sick psychopath that plays a cruel game of hide and seek with Emily (Dakota Fanning) and in the end tries to kill her.

It wasn't too bad of a movie.

Awesome, thanks!

I was kind of hoping for a supernatural spin, but this sounds good.

While watching the movie last night, I was expecting it to turn out to be some sort of supernatural thing. I'll admit to being disappointed that "Charlie" was just his split personality, but once I got over that I went back to enjoying the movie.

8/10 because of good acting, Famke Jaansen, and Elizabeth Shue. 😀
