Believe it or not...
The stars remained aligned...
The Princess spendt the evening at her grandparents' house as expected...
And tonight...
*drum roll*
MRS. TALLGEESE FINALLY WATCHED THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING WITH ME!!!
Her reaction...?
Mmmmm...okay
I mean...it wasn't a total loss.
She thought it looked fantastic (which it does) and asked how many technical Oscars it won.
She also grooved on the Christian thematics.
But...there were plenty of bathroom breaks (as expected)
She also said that if it had been up to her she would have bailed in the first 15 to 20 minutes...prolly during the narration by Galadriel, or the opening moments in Hobbiton.
And it was darn tough for her to get comfortable for a long period of time (as any woman who's been pregnant full-term can tell you)
Also...the scene where Bilbo's face freaks out in Rivendel TOTALLY freaked her out (forgot to warn her
)
So...the winning answer actually is just as ATOT predicted....#2
No way she could sit through TTT in a theater before February.
No way after delivery for a minimum of six weeks.
And highly unlikely we'll get 3 hours away after that before TTT goes out of theaters.
So...I'll be seeing TTT (before February) without her...which is kinda what I figured would happen.
HOWEVER:
When I got home from work today, Mrs. Tallgeese told me:
"I was out running errands today...and I almost stopped in at [can't remember the place she said] because I had seen something that said they were having a huge sale...ON BIG-SCREEN TVS!!!!!"
My reaction: :Q (just for the thought actually crossing her mind at all!)
BTW: Check my .sig for the defining moment of this particular event.
