Finished unlocking at 8 minutes past, got playing immediately, graphics are :Q

Couldn't post here earlier, but did post in OT, i was too busy playing, but from the replies here, I beat everyone else by 4 minutes! :D;)

played for about 45 minutes. i guess i'm in the second chapter. it is every bit worth the waite and hype so far.

my game works fine @ 1600x1200 4xaa 8xaf using 66.93 drivers and a 6800 Ultra

man this is a killer game, but i need more upgrades! faster ram! faster cpu! faster video! gahhhhhhhhh.

i'm not too much for all the "loading" screens tho. but what can you do.

Damn the biggest improvement this far is how good the vehicles (airboat) handle compared to HL1

okay...
the graphics are beautiful although i have a weird pausing issue with my pc. I think it's because BTV is running in background among other things.

amd 64 3000+
1 gig corsair xms
bfg 6800gt oc

the weapons are great, and the physics, fantastic. Unlike doom3, the textures are really well done, and the whole hame has a polished feel, water and all.

my only issues the stutters, but i think it is running apps.

in the morning i will put it on my x800 pc and see how it fares

1024 with 4xAA and 8XAF on an Athlon XP1800 and GeForce 6800 NU

theblackbox, you have a 6800GT and an X800? Do you consider yourself a generous man?

wow, runs ok on XP 2500+, 1Gig RAM, 9600XT at 1028X768. The loading times are annoying though. I must say, I prefer the pistol over the SMG. Time to go to bed. I will have to play some more tomorrow :)

Edit: By the way I have the very latest drivers that just came out the other day- 4.11 I think?

Edit: One more thing, HL2 is awesome.

I get the stuttering too...I hope its an easy fix..it starts getting annoying after a while

if you can access console on HL2 [you wud have to enable it in the options first ] ( i aint played it yet, still at school :() try typing CL_SMOOTH 0, this removes stuttering in CS: S so i imagine it does the same in hl2
