My take(after 2hrs):
- graphics seem to be on par with ViceCity. No improvements that i can see. Some slowdown, some stuttering when going to new place. Load times similar to VC.
- People look a little blocky.
- music is still good, lotsa rap.
- LOTS and LOTS of expletives...like every scene. Don't play in front of any kids. And if you do not understand 'hood' speak, lingo, u'll be lost a lot. Regular folk watching me play had no clue wtf the characters were saying..
- Coming from RayLiotta for VC, this new voice talent is kinda a letdown...like i dunno who he is,...Maylay?? I could tell Samuel L Jackson straight away tho',...which was nice.
- plays almost IDENTICAL to VC. Groundbreaking?...Nope. Fun?...Yes.
- controls similar to VC but i can tell they've tweaked the fight controls for the better.
- still TONS of stuff to do.
- anyone think the colors are off in some parts? Like during sundown, EVERYTHING is too orangy...i mean i thought it was my TV but dayuum...its like all orange and yellow.
- i dunno about the stats part...like fat, respect, stamina...etc. In beginning it sounds cool but i hope they don't put too much emphasis on those stuff coz its getting kinda lame...I don't wanna HAVE to stop at a restaurant to eat and stuff..
IN short, so far, SA is = VC+new area+slightly new stuff.
....after playing/during playing, people around me were commenting how i became all huffy and kept swearing..
