Give us a good review. I'm thinking about picking up the wheel along with GT5 Prologue from Amazon to scratch my "wanting to buy another toy car" itch I've been having. I seem to always get the itch when the weather turns nice. This will be far cheaper alternative.

I'll try my darndest! I've never reviewed one of these addon wheels so what would you guys like me to talk about? What's important to you concerning something like this? Also, with a $299 price tag--what do you expect from it?

For $299, I expect the thing to just work as advertised. No flaws with steering wheel movement (i.e. smooth), smooth shifting with the H-shifter with no kinks, pedals have nice, comfortable resistance to them, pedal base can be decently secured so it's not prone to slippage during use, buttons on the shifting component press well and don't feel cheap.....for $299, everything has to be top-notch.

Also warcrow, don't forget that in order to use the clutch with GT5P, you have to press the triangle button (might be another one, but I'm pretty sure it's triangle) when the race starts to enable it. I've read plenty of complaints online were people said the clutch on their G25 wasn't working, and the reply was always that you have to hit that button in order to use it. I don't have any hands-on time with the wheel, but just incase you run into this problem, that's the fix.

I am a GT5 newbie.

I should say that I am still debating PS3 vs XBox360. I know the XBox has what I want, but the PS3 should be slightly less expensive and I have friends with a PS3 so I want to go that way if I can find a game I like.

ON TO GTA5.
1) I only intend to play single player (no online gaming). Is the single player game good?
2) What is the game like? I don't mind tuning cars, but if there are 50 different variables(tire pressure, spring strength, spoiler angle, etc etc etc) to mess with to "tune" a car, this game is not for me. I don't mind tuning a few things (maybe 5 or so), so what exactly is this game like in terms of tuning cars?

Answer) Why not read about it online? I am at work and game sites are blocked.

Actually the 360 is less expensive. If you like racing sims first player would be great. I play Forza 2 a lot and palyed almost 90% offline.

I just read up on GT5. I don't think it is for me.

Then you're better off playing project gotham racing 4 on X360.

got into a few ramming battles last night, but its usually when there is a lot of lag and people are flying around. not much of the ramming is intentional, more due to glitching from lag.

well i play at night, which is early a.m. for the rest of the US. so it was probably slim pickings as far as a good connections for hosts. I dont know how thier online matching algorhythm works though, so who knows. I started out having a lot of good races, then maybe 5 or 6 laggy ramfests/disconnect games and I called it quits. might have been due to it getting late and population dying off or could have been coicidence... this was over maybe 3-4 hours of playing online races.

Not getting any bad lag issues in the UK. Get players from all over Europe and there is some quality wheel to wheel, with the odd rammer who has usually spun and would rather take someone out than let them by.

Can someone tell me the best cars for the A class races? I'm having a hard time beating some of the A class races.

What are you using now? and which races? the ones that allow all manufacturers?

LOL ya. some people think that this is Burnout or something hahahaha.

But ya, all-in-all, this is a nice package. I'm still debating whether to wait for the $150 Logitech wheel that's not out yet, or just get the $300 one.

The races that allow all manufacturers and that start you out in 16th place are hard. I am trying to do it with Nissan G35 GTR '07. Is there a faster car? I guess the Ferrari F430 will be faster but I don't have enough money for it yet. I had 120,000 and spend it on a Honda NSX type R '07 and it ended up being a slower car than the GTR.

Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo for anything that doesn't need a specific car.

Ferrari is quicker, but the GTR handes better, i think. Been using the Ford GT, like the Ferrari but faster, for alot of the A races, will have to try the Amuse.

The Amuse is a great handling car, as long as you go in slow for a 'fast out'. The on limit balance is very good on standard physics. Be aware it's a bit of a handful on pro though before you tune the handling!

I practiced a little bit and managed to beat all four of the any manufacturer races with the GTR.

I guess for the american muscle car the ford gt 40 is the fastest right?

What is the fastest for the Japanese car races?

yeah the ferrari is a bit quicker but harder to drive because it doesnt have that wierd computer controlled AWD that the GTR does. the amuse will blow away any non-tuner car.

i think he means the 300hp races, you cant use the amuse in those. i went with the 350z, but i dont think its the fastest.
