What's there to hate? Would you rather have the game be laggy and glitchy?? lol. If you're new, the game definitely has a little bit of a learning curve. You can't play it like any other fps/3rdps. One rule remains though, positioning is key. You can't just run at the enemy. It's good to hold the areas with the big guns, getting to the frags is nice as well. It's better to gun down the enemy with your teammates, than to go in alone and get gunned down by the enemy.
Personally, I've been rolling with the retro and saw'd off. I feel that I can compete at short/mid via the retro, and the sawed off is pretty much cheese at point blank range. For the long range game the hammerburst is nice, but often times while you're trying to gun someone down with it, you put yourself at risk of getting your head popped off by a good sniper.
