I thought I would bump this since a few people have been asking around about forza race nights. Lets get this going again!

OP below:

A bunch of us used to race Forza 3 every wednesday at 9PM EST. With the impending release of the glory that is forza 4, I figured I would start a thread!
We have people of all skill levels, don't be afraid to join. I sucked when I started....and I'm still pretty bad 😀. But, a ton of fun is had by everyone.

All that is asked is that you try to run a clean race, and apologize if you smash in to someone. Please try to have a headset as well.

If you want to join, post your gamertag in the thread. I'll invite you to the Anandtech Car Club within FM4. (note: you must have played the game at least once before we can invite you to the car club)

I was just coming to make this thread. I honestly wasn't going to get Forza 4 but thanks to the stupid demo and the realization that if I buy BF3 I'll have purchased 3 shooting games within a two month period...I decided to change it and get Forza. Just placed my pre-order with Amazon, it'll be here tomorrow.

Oh, and it goes without saying...I'm IN! Although I may not be able to join in until 9 PM CST for at least a little while.

Blowfish (GCS) and Queasy will hopefully join in again as they once did on days of old. Now we just need OSJ, Waldo, Arby, Hopeless, and CK (Mr. "light red") and we'll have the whole crew back!

Picking up my copy from Best Buy tomorrow after my test. Then it'll be easy mode for the rest of the week for me. I played Forza 3 with some friends on my system doing the career but never got online. I'll get on Wednesday night however and following race nights school allowing.

I'll be pushing making it at exactly on time. I get off at 7:30 CST so that leaves me 30 minutes to make it home on a 15-20 minute drive. Providing I am not held up late.
 
I'm working 7 on 7 off right now so I can probably make it every other week. I'm excited that they're supporting up to 16 cars now. 6 or 8 was often a drag.

This is my on week but I did pick up a copy today.
 
Is there a listing of the different race types in Forza 4 somewhere? I'm curious what multiclass racing they'll have.

The multiplayer options in Forza 4 are ridiculous. You can set up a race with almost any (or no) restrictions on car class, cylinders, engine aspiration, etc etc etc.

It comes with the standard lap race, car bowling, car soccer, cat & mouse, tag and others as standard. You can change the race rules to fit the type of race you want to run.
 
Does someone want to set-up the official Anandtech Racing club? I know the club options are supposed to be extensive and awesome.
 
I'll do it tonight if no one else has. I know Lotheron and Queasy both have the game already.

I'd like to participate, but 6 pm PST on a Wednesday is probably a no-go for me most weeks, as I carpool with the girlfriend and that's right around when she gets off work. Still, I'll see if I can make it to one of these shindigs.

I'm pretty sure my Gamertag is BongSmokinHippo, but I'll come back and edit if that's incorrect.

it often lasts longer than an hour, so perhaps you can hop on once you get home.
 
My game arrived earlier than expected but I haven't tried it yet. I can make the car club if no one else wants to.
