Maryland Statewide Ballot Questions...

Question 1 - Constitutional Amendment
Early Voting; Polling Places; Absentee Ballots

"Authorizes the General Assembly to enact legislation to allow qualified voters to vote at polling places inside or outside of their election districts or wards and to vote up to two weeks before an election. This amendment also authorizes the General Assembly to enact legislation to allow absentee voting by qualified voters who choose to vote by absentee ballot, in addition to voters who are absent at the time of the election or who are unable to vote personally."

This doesn't really make any sense, if you aren't able to make it for whatever reason just vote absentee. No need for "early voting". Leaving polls open 7am-8pm for 2 weeks is nothing but a waste of money.
I voted Yes anyway.

Question 2 - Constitutional Amendment
Authorizing Video Lottery Terminals (Slot Machines) to Fund Education

"Authorizes the State to issue up to five video lottery licenses for the primary purpose of raising revenue for education of children in public schools, prekindergarten through grade 12, public school construction and improvements, and construction of capital projects at community colleges and higher education institutions. No more than a total number of 15,000 video lottery terminals may be authorized in the State, and only one license may be issued for each specified location in Anne Arundel, Cecil, Worcester, and Allegany Counties, and Baltimore City. Any additional forms or expansion of commercial gaming in Maryland is prohibited, unless approved by a voter referendum."

I voted yes.

Well since they just voted that moron Shaheen into office I am sure things will turn to shit up there too...

And you pretty much described 90% of towns in massachusetts with the exception of the fire depts.

I can't believe Florida is overwhelmingly voting for Amendment 2. Fucking homophobes. This state disgusts me sometimes.

Please explain. You seem to be prone to outlandish claims. If your claims have any basis you should explain them.

 You are so sad and pathetic. You're against capitalism, how are you for democracy and America then?

You do know why NH has numerous volunteer services right? Oh wait, you're too stupid to know.

Incorrect. And please leave the state. The overall IQ of the state will go up.

What kind of explanation are you looking for? and how are my claims "outlandish"...

Massachusetts has a history of taxing the shit out of their inhabitants with very very little to show for it in most communities...only a few are what many consider "good" to "great"...heck I live in a town that isn't cheap and the school system is pretty friggin horrible, so bad that my only alternatives for my daughter are to either consider private schools or move to an even more costly town.

NH in comparison for the most part is a bit more affordable (less costly housing, fewer taxes)...which is why all the loony lefties from MA migrated up north.

Shaheen worked to raise NH's property tax, and also supported a sales tax (which luckily for them failed)...she just got elected to Senate...only a matter of time before NH starts turning into MA light.

Losing the income tax and paying a higher property tax would have meant more money for my town to have spent on its school system, instead of the money I earn going into the big pot and getting sucked up by the already corrupt politicians like the infamous Dianne Wilkerson and her ilk.

Against better judgement I will edit this out...as I don't think the mods will appreciate my using the term fuck face as a descriptor

Capt, you're exactly what is wrong with this state...just another moron.

But honestly I would love to move away from this shit hole...grew up here my entire life, moved away and loved being near DC, unfortunately my wife wants to work and live here since she likes her job so I guess you're stuck with me Capt, deal with it.

What's wrong with a volunteer fire department? Long Island is almost exclusively volunteer departments and we have more fire equipment (trucks, etc) than LA, LA County, and NYC combined. Of course, our fire departments are a big clusterfuck of wasting money - one township's department bought a ladder truck that could reach up to 10 stories high, yet the tallest building in the area is 3 stories. Additionally, the truck wouldn't be able to be used because of the overhead powerlines.

Caveman is just showing how neanderthalish his pee brain is...

Somehow trying to slight NH because they are a bit more relaxed when it comes to govt handouts and spending than the liberal bastion TaxAchusetts is...I am sure Cave boy spanks out a nice big load whenever he thinks of how wonderful this place is given that it is progressive...

The sad thing is that with everything we pay in taxes there are still plenty of towns here with those so called inferior volunteer fire departments just like NH...yet they seem to get by just fine...not to mention the countless communities with sub standard school systems..but they have to pay those pike toll collectors 60K a year plus with their pensions.
