I just received an email from Corey at Lizard Lick. He advised me that the order should ship next week....what to do what to do...

Did you send your refund request email to support@ or sales@? I still haven't heard anything back.

It was from support @ I actually received the reply fairly quick. Maybe before it was sales @ .

OK, thanks. I just sent another email to the sales@ email addy. We'll see how that goes.

So did you decide to wait on the parts or just get your refund?

EDIT: Just got my refund. They apologized for the delay and said they hoped I would come back once SF4 hysteria died down.

ARGH! I finally got my Cthulhu board from LizardLick and got it wired. The sad part is, my buttons don't work! They're just beaten to hell, like one of the buttons does not register until it is DEpressed. Too much MvC2, and Third Strike will do that to buttons. The joystick is operating flawlessly though. Props to the CTHULHU creator.

Got my order in, but won't have time to install anything yet. Didn't get better buttons, just an octagonal plate and some new microswitches.

Oh man, thanks for the offer Pur! :) Much appreciated but I already placed an order for some convex buttons through Akihabra. To be honest, I think I killed the original set due to practicing Kara's over and over in Third Strike. It's funny, because it's the buttons I used as my medium strength kicks and punches - my most common kara cancels. The concave buttons were not too friendly in terms of sensitivity/responsiveness and I definitely remember countless hours of tapping, and pianoing.

I'm still in MD, we should play some SF4! I gotta give many kudos to you for starting this thread and posting your guide. Without it, I wouldn't have thought to redo my stick or had the knowledge to do so. Thanks man!

Alright, finally, Lizard Lick sent my parts. They emailed me earlier last week letting me know they were out of the JLF or JLP joysticks but were offering a replacement. At this point, I don't fucking care just send my shit. I should receive it by Wednesday. Already have a box built and just need to find a cheap wired controller and I'm golden.

Finished my Norris stick over the weekend. Here's a couple photos I had posted over at SRK.

Plays beautifully. Now waiting for my Finkle case to come in so I can do another and sell off the HRAP3!

Hey custom builders. Does anybody need an AXISadapter by ShinJN (from SRK). I bought 4 from him a couple of weeks ago and have 1 extra. I'm just looking to recoup the cost, which is $25 for Package C. Local pickup in the LA/OC area or your method of shipping (you pay). let me know.

Oh, and I have a Blanka PS3 fight pad (used once).

Thanks! With a plexiglass bottom I figured it might be best to try and make the wiring look neat. ;)

I'm not nearly savvy enough to build my own stick (oh it would be cool though!), but I might try this much simpler mod. Take the lower quality Mad Catz SFIV SE stick and put Sanwa parts in it to essentially make it a TE stick.

Link

It lists all the part #'s and such, and assuming shipping isn't too rough that's potentially a decent savings over buying a straight TE stick.

Debating on if I want to just try a fight pad (I was better with the PSOne controller than with the stick at the arcade for Tekken 3/Tag) or if I should give a stick a whirl and just learn to use it, as consoles change and such pads will change, but the sticks will always be the same so it might make it easier on me for the future...

Did you make the case for your stick, or did you purchase it somewhere?

Purchased the case at Norris Arcade Sticks. It'll probably be a while before they offer any cases again though.

i've been looking for either the TE or SE sticks this week, and it's been a no go. according to people on cag and shoryuken, some gamecrazys and gamestops received a couple, but none in the immediate orange county area seem to have any (i found one store that had it on preorder hold for someone already).

if i can get a se stick, i will, and then replace the joystick/buttons myself. if not, i'll happily pick up a te stick. :/

I finally got my stick all built. The box looks like crap but it's functional. Just an FYI, some websites are showing wiring diagrams of the 360 Madcatz 4716 controller incorrectly which was frustrating for me. I spent an hour diagnosing what the problem was but after a search I found out that where they were saying was signal were actually ground. Was frustrating playing with only up and down. Then for some reason the left bump wasn't working so I had to change it out to the LT. Oh well, learning experience for next time. Next time I'll build a box out of decent wood rather than pressboard.

I hate shopping at Walmart but that's where I bought mine. Came with a few different sizes. Cheap.

Question: Is the joystick washer supposed to move on the surface? Mine glides*...

*= Control Panel and box (prototypes!) are heavy cardboard.
