I almost upgraded my old pc for this game. Lol! Glad I didn't. Was <-------> close to trading one of my iPads for a replacement pc.

Fists of Thunder doesn't cost spirit but rather generates it. It's one of your important resource generation abilities.

hold down LMB when you're just moving around and I think the amount of clicking is highly dependent on class

I don't think I need to spam click all that much with my Witch Doctor

lol..there IS nothing to "max out", i am running on a GTX 275 which is from before Christ and all settings are on high, except shadow quality.

Saying..unless you have a computer from 1950 it will likely run 🙂

HW requirements, IMO are pretty much on par with WoW, means that really any decent PC should be able to run it.
 
OMG......i'm having a retro orgy. Finally i've been able to play smooth and lag-free. The game is a blast!

I feel the same way i did back when i played D2. I have to force myself to quit so i can play again later. The gameplay, graphics, and sound are just perfect.

Very addicting, and the more spells i get with my Wizard, the more fun i have! 🙂
 
Playing wiz too, game gets amazing once you are beyond Skeleton King.
SOOO much to learn still with spells, gear stats etc...just had a head crafted you can gem even 🙂
 
so before playing today(was lvl 9 to start the day) I went to AH and bought a decent weapon and helmet for about 1500g total. Nothing great, but the weapon was double the dps of my current one.

It kind of feels like cheating to do that, lol.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Staying away from that for my first play through at least.
 
Has anyone found a Unique or a Page of Training yet?

I at 29 now, and have encountered dozens of rares but not a single unique or training item.
 
never thought of holding down the attack button for the laser beam attacks, which turns out to be pretty fun to do and moe down packs of mobs.
 
I noticed a bit of lag a couple of times, but for the most part tonight it worked fairly well. I still think the whole thing is ridiculous. It obviously hasn't stopped pirating, and if it's there to keep the auction house legit, give me an option to opt out of the AH and play offline.

So far I'm enjoying the monk. I think I might finish the game as him, but I haven't even reached the skeleton king yet. Once I do I think I will try a few of the other classes for a little bit to see if I might like one of them better. I would have played as the witch doctor right away, but I really don't care for the look of the character. I like the monk's straight to business attitude.
 
The stuttering lag when going into a new area is annoying and the double using of high "mana" or energy or whatever skills is equally annoying. I'm liking the monk though. I might try more of my wizard too but those fist of fury or whatever is a ton of fun.
 
At least you boys can connect. I can't even get past the login screen. Had the game for about 36 hours now and I haven't even picked a character. Nonstop error 3005. I guess by "requires an internet connection" they mean "requires a public ip address for each computer", as from what I'm reading, error 3005 happens when behind a router with multiple computers trying to play.

My roommate has been playing no problem, but theres two other computers here that were trying to use, none of them can connect, error 3005 constantly :\.

Well if you are sharing an internet connection, technically you are paying for only one external IP address. But you're right, I don't see how or why Blizzard would place such a limitation.

Feeling sorry for the kids on college campuses, seems like they're all having issue.

You're right, im paying for one external IP, but where does blizz say you need a dedicated IP address? it just requires access to the internet...which I have...
 
Does anyone have a guest pass I could have? I was just going to go out and buy this but some of the negative reviews are holding me back.

People are going to disagree here but if the review was bad because of always on/server issues I'd pay little attention. Unless of course you lack a constant internet connection

As far as I can tell, Uniques are now named Legendaries. I found one in Act 1 of Normal so far. Seeker's Sin or something like that. It's a bow or a quiver, can't remember. I saved it in my stash.
