Case in point.
I called about the package yesterday at the sender's request. A super nice lady took my phone numbers and said she'd call me back as soon as she talked to the retards who had the package.
The call never came.
This morning, I got a call from some kid who had obviously had a long evening last night.
"Uh, this is Justin from DHL, we want to deliver a package we have for you."
I gave him all my information, phone numbers, and everything they'd need (again).
His response:
"Uhhhh, okay. The girl should be out on Monday if she can make it. The package requires a signature. If you have a porch, you can leave a note that says she doesn't need a signature and she'll hide it somewhere."
The package is a check, the sender insisted on a signature for the safety of both of us, and he paid a fortune to have it here in three days.
Fortunately, it was a cross-ship from FS/T with an excellent trader and I don't much care when the money gets here. I trust the trader completely and it'll get right regardless of what happens with DHL.

You can't fault an outfit for trying to make a go of it, but this outfit completely sucks.

Please take time to add you dhl bashing comments. :)

We use them for overnight shipping of repairs from our Ft. Worth facility to our stores, all 5000 of them. Haven't lost a single package yet as far as I know, although the guys showing up in Ryder vans sometimes is kind of funny.

The closest DHL facility is 2 hours away.
If they'd give me the driver's phone number, I could call her and let her drop the package off at one of a dozen or more places.
