Bristol could have used a tad more energy in her legs (they did not kick, lift sharply enough) but the performance aspect was much improved in her jive.
 
Their freestyle was very conventional and unsurprising. Not much different from a regular season jive or rock n roll.
 
It was well done but I think the scores were a bit inflated to reward them for the whole season. I saw it as a 27, on par or below Kyle's, not a 30.

Time to go vote. The judges still have two more dances to evaluate tomorrow so the influence of the voting is lessened nowadays.
 
Bristol was the weakest tonight, as she has been for a few weeks. The judge's scores were pretty good, but I don't think Jennifer deserved 2 perfect scores.

I would like to see Kyle and Lacey win this, but I don't think they will. Based on the season overall Jennifer should win this tomorrow night.
 
The most Bristol deserved for scores from the judges was a 6 or 7 for both dances. She was just awful. Go Jennifer and Derek!!!
 
Bristol's freestyle was WAY overscored. There were two problems:

1. Which the judges picked out - it was a very iconic dance, so everyone knows what it should look like. It didn't look anything close to what it should be.
2. It was nowhere near difficult. Bristol was walking around. I expected more precision, some leg flicks, something, but got... nothing.

I would have given her 8's to be polite in the spirit of overscoring the finals, but it was more of a 7.

I also think her Jive was overscored, because, once again, no difficulty. They gave her points for showing some personality, but what the hell, there was nothing difficult in that routine.

Not surprising from such supporters, I guess, when their guru treats public office the same way.
